Paying taxes is as inevitable as breathing in the U.S.of A. Yet, Lauryn Hill continues to struggle with this concept.

The singer who spent three months in federal prison for tax evasion in 2013 for a $1 million debt, apparently has more issues with the Internal Revenue Service.

As reported by Bossip who found record of the new debt, Hill owes $438,221 in a tax judgment from June 30. There’s also an open lien from 2012 for $446,386.60, but it was unclear whether the two tax debts were related.

Here’s the problem: As much as taxes are annoying and she’s busy touring and raising her kids, wouldn’t the first thing you do after getting out of jail for tax evasion, be to sort out all your finances— and work tirelessly to pay them off?

Truth be told, we have no idea as to what happened here, but Hill is not the only celebrity who’s dealt with tax issues.

Fat Joe, DMX and even presidential candidate Donald Trump are being accused of tax evasion. And the list of celebrities to deal with this in the past is never-ending.

Clearly, ‘mo money, ‘mo problems.

We hope this all clears up for Hill soon. But on the upside, maybe, just maybe, this will lead to that Fugees reunion tour we’ve all been waiting on.
