30-Year-Old Man Allegedly Arrested For Posing As A High School Student

In a real life situation that resembles the film “21Jump Street”, Jonathan Nicola was a star basketball player for the Central Catholic Comets. After a six month process of trying to obtain a student Visa to travel from his native Sudan to Canada, Nicola found a home with the school’s basketball coach and the Canada Homestay program which helps provides room and board for foreign students. At 6’9 and 202 pounds, Nicola claimed to be 17-years-old and he spent the last six months in the 11th grade at the Canadian high school. The Canada Border Services Agency has since arrested Nicola for violating the Immigration Refugee Protection Act. Reportedly, Nicola is actually 30-years-old. He is currently being detained at the South West Detention Centre. Nicola will go before the Immigration and Refugee Board on Tuesday, April 27th which will decide if he should remain in custody. Windsor Star

Fight Over A Boy Ends In Fatality

Minutes before her first class of the day, Amy Inita Joyner-Francis went into the bathroom at Howard High School of Technology and was reportedly attacked by a group of her peers. The 16-year-old’s head was slammed on the bathroom sink causing her to lose consciousness. Amy was subsequently flown to A.I. DuPont Children’s Hospital where she pronounced dead on arrival. Two female students have been detained by the police for questioning. Joyner-Francis has been receiving an outpouring of love from friends, family and the Wilmington, Delaware community. Judge Inspires Former Classmates Rehabilitation During Jail Sentencing

Miami judge Mindy Glazer made headlines last summer when she recognized her former classmate in her courtroom. Glazer asked Arthur Booth, “Did you go to Nautilus for middle school?” The judge who called the 49-year-old offender the “nicest” and the “best” kid in the school had been arrested for burglary charges. Booth spent 10 months in jail prior to entering a guilty plea for burglary and grand theft that led to his transfer into a drug treatment program. Upon his release, Glazer was waiting for him with open arms. Booth shared his gratitude with the media for his former friend’s support. “She’s an inspiration and a motivation to me right now. Mindy is incredible” said Booth. “…I know where I could’ve been, but I’m not giving up on life” he added. CBS Miami

Man Arrested For Stealing Soda From McDonalds

Three men ordered food from a McDonalds drive-thru in Springdale, Arkansas and they also asked for cups of water. The men then proceeded to park the car, go inside of the restaurant, pour out the water and get soda instead. The manager confronted the boys and he demanded that they throw out the drinks; two obliged but Cody Morris, 18, reportedly refused. He ran out of the store and to his car. The manager tried to stop Morris from leaving but the assailant backed up and hit the manager as he was exiting the parking lot. Police were called and they found Morris’ his car at a nearby bowling alley. He’s been arrested and allegedly charged with felony robbery. New York Post
