Farah Davids has been natural since 2004. She did the ‘big chop’ spontaneously, leaving her long, silky, relaxed hair on the salon floor. Her routine began with washing her hair, followed by twisting it and then sitting under a hair dryer. However, since her hair has gone through it’s phases and is ‘born-again’, she shampoos with a shampoo bar from LUSH, conditions with HASK Protein Keratin, and finishes with African Royal Hot Six Oil or Motions Marula Oil.

When doing a wash and go on your hair, one of the most important things to remember is that after you put in the product, do not touch your curls! Letting your curls ‘set’ will result in defined curls. (No twist out, needed)! When moisture hits your hair, it will result in expanded curls like below.

We here at #TeamBeautiful celebrate our natural hair sistahs! Submit your natural hair to ContactHelloBeautiful@gmail.com for a chance to be featured! When submitting, please don’t forget to include the following: 1. Two photos of your hair on fleek (high res images only). 2. What product you used to achieve the look. 3. How you achieved the look. 4. How long you have been natural. 5. The best natural hair care tip you have received.

We look forward to seeing all of your beautiful hair photos!
