The trailer for the new season of American Crime has been released.
The intense drama stars Regina King, Emmy winner for Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Limited Series.
We all screamed #blackgirlmagic watching King’s epic portrayal of Aliyah Shadeed, a woman bent on defending the reputation of her troubled brother.
The series, that integrates uncomfortable social conversations and racial tensions into the plot, made waves when it premiered last March.
The second season moves from the courtroom to the classroom, tackling sexual assault in school.
With the new storyline focusing on sexual orientation, socio economic disparity, and viral social media imagery, we expect this season to spark the same controversy.
The series returns January 6th.
