Many people know singer Tom Jones from watching The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. He’s the voice behind the Billboard hit “It’s Not Unusual” where Alfonso Ribeiro does “The Carlton Dance”.

Jones’ many hits over the past five decades also includes, “What’s New Pussycat”, “She’s a Lady” and “Sex Bomb”. Now at 75-years-old, the Grammy award winning singer just dropped his own bomb, he thinks he may be black!

He was born in South Wales but admits to not knowing much about his ancestry. “When I first came to America, people who had heard me sing on the radio would be surprised that I was white when they saw me” he said in an interview with the London Times. “Because of my hair, a lot of black people still tell me I’m just passing as white.”

Jones also added, “My mother came out in big dark patches all over her body. They asked if she had any black blood and she said she didn’t know. I’m going to get my DNA tested. I want to find out.”

This revelation comes at an interesting time, the singer just released his new autobiography, “Over The Top And Back”. His “faux-blackness” may be the most interesting part of the story!
