Kendrick Lamar Drops Video For “For Free?”
Kendrick Lamar gifted us this lovely Friday with the new video for his interlude, “For Free?” It starts with a woman voicing several complaints about a cheap boyfriend, and then Kendrick appears in various carnations, including Uncle Sam, chasing her around the house to drive the point home that she paid the ultimate price. This is a metaphor, y’all, and it’s deep.

Grammy nominated singer/songwriter Jordin Sparks delivers this smooth groove about people who delight in trying to break up other people’s relationships.This new song is definitely reminiscent of 90s R&B. Sparks is gearing up for the release of her third studio album, Right Here Right Now.
Lianne La Havas is Back With Blood
The British singer/songwriter, and one of Prince’s favs has blessed us with yet another album entitled, Blood. This album is a reflection of Lahavas’ experimentation. It’s hard to put her sound in a box, but here you’ll hear a blend of many influences including R&B, jazz, and even alternative, and that’s how she likes it.
“I just kind of wanted to mix all the genres and mix all the things that I like together,” La Havas said. “Everything comes from wanting to merge many styles together,” she told Yahoo.
