Remember Clueless, the cult favorite 90s flick about three valley girls?
If not, then get to Netflixing, because Clueless the movie will be turned into a Broadway musical. Director Amy Hecklering revealed some exciting details to Entertainment Tonight about her plans for Clueless: The Musical.
“I’ve written the, what they call the book and it’s a jukebox musical,” Amy told ET. She also confirmed that Kristin Hanggi, best known for directing Rock of Ages, which ran on Broadway from 2009 to 2015, will be at the helm.
The production group responsible for Jersey Boys, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and the original run of Into the Woods, will be producing, so we can be confident that this work will be in good hands.
It’s going to take a while before we see the fruits of this labor, starting with casting and funding, and all that standard procedure stuff. But anyway, like, OMG, are you excited?
Sorry, couldn’t resist.
I wonder how the film’s original stars like, Stacey Dash and Alicia Silverstone feel about this. Actually, scratch that thought about Stacey Dash, we already know what happens when she’s allowed to speak.
