Any story with the headline, “Chris Brown explains his recent attacks on Karrueche Tran,” eyerolls are sure to be the first reaction. Chris Brown and Karrueche. Lordt. Their love is more annoying than anything Raven-Symone says.
Over the weekend, the on-again-off-again tortured lovers exchanged words the way that many modern couples do, over social media. Brown heard about an interview Tran took recently where she evidently mentioned her relationship with the “Loyal” singer (ha!). Chris didn’t like that, so this is what he said:
“Honestly, it’s so f–king pointless to keep doing interviews about me. Talk about your career. If there is no more relationship then u shouldn’t be doing f–king interviews with people I won’t let get the pleasure of prying into my personal life. S–t starting to get real weak now.”
And then she said:
First off @chrisbrownofficial you just did an interview w Ryan Seacrest in which you spoke about me. My interview w Access Hollywood was not entirely about you.. they asked a question and as a mature adult I answered. I’m not gonna shy away from something that I lived through. I’m talking about my life and experiences. I’m not speaking on you or bashing you (like I easily could). Don’t be mad at me because our relationship is over due to your lack of loyalty. You know what’s weak?? You forcing yourself into my car.. my broken window.. blowing up my phone.. trying to shower me w gifts.. And then he said:
I’m eternally thankful for you being in a part of my life. I’ve learned so much from you. I wish u nothing but happiness and the best. ❤️ @karrueche all I was doing was trying to fight for the woman I love. Thanx I learned a lot ✌️
Given the history these two share, we doubt this is the end. Love looks different on us all, but on these two, it’s an uncomfortable tug of war. Chris Brown is unpredictable and seemingly controlling and Karrueche is a hopeless romantic who can’t seem to figure out how to stop tightrope walking on that line between love and hate. It’s a poisonous mix that leaves the both of them miserable.
That’s the reason Karrueche always goes back. It’s the reason Chris Brown follows Karrueche out of the club and into her Uber and blows up her phone. Love is a lot of things and manifests itself in various ways. In Chris’ mind, he’s fighting for the woman he loves, but he doesn’t seem to realize that doesn’t mean he has to do it physically.
Love can make us do some crazy things, like stay in a situation we know we should get out of. So no one is saying Karrueche is a stupid person for allowing Chris back into her life countless times, but there’s got to be a breaking point here. Maybe she’s finally reached it?
Karrueche has finally told Chris something we’ve all silently whispered as we watched him act out in temper tantrums all over our timeless and TV screens, “Man the f–k up.” But will she stand her ground this time and give him the space he needs to mature and heal? Or will they be right back together and posting on Instagram next week. Sadly, we think it’s the latter and if so, mark our words…we’re done with the back and forth of this unhealthy union. All the best to them both.
