Simone Biles once again racked up another win in her column. Simone nabbed her first AT&T American Cup all-around crown yesterday. The victory was a special one as Simone scored the win in front of her fans in her home state, in Arlington Tx. Simone’s nearly flawless routine on the uneven bars and a tiny loss of her balance on the beam still netted a new women’s record of the previous American Cup of 4.467 points under a scoring system that was adopted in 2006. How awesome is she?? Yesterday’s competition marked the 17-year old two-time defending world all-around champion first event since participated at last year’s world championships in Nanning, China.

Fresh off her win, Simone told FoxSports how psyched she was for her friends to see her in person perform gymnastics, as she’s always oversees in competition. Simone remarked:

It’s just really exciting because they haven’t gotten to see me compete, said Biles, later pointing to a spot in the stands where she said her best friend was joyfully screaming back at her. “Most of my meets are international, so it’s really hard. So for this one to be so close, it was a good opportunity.

In June, Simone will compete in a U.S. event in June in, Greensboro, Nc and go after her third straight world title in Glasgow, Scotland in October. Go get ’em Simone!
