Who said Dorks finish last? Not so in the world of Rachel Renee Russell’s “Dork Diaries” — the recipient of the 2015 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Literary Work for children. The New York Time’s Best Selling series. The Diaries chronicle life of Nikki Maxwell, who is based on Russell’s true life teenage daughters Erin and Nikki. Russell’s books help make sense of the crazy adolescent world of pre-teens and include puzzles, quizzes, an interactive fan club, videos and numerous other product extensions.

The Dork Diaries are a family affair, with Russell’s daughters assisting in the illustration and design of the book series. Congratulations to the Russell family for their funny, honest and inspiring series “Dork Diaries.”
