“We are so blessed and grateful to God for this newest gift to our family,” the proud parents, who married in 2007, told People. “It was planned. We’ve actually been trying for a couple years. We had gotten pregnant twice and [miscarried]. If I’m encouraging to anybody … it’s not like I’m the poster child for over 40 and pregnant.”

The “Facts of Life” and “Living Single” star announced her big pregnancy news during a July appearance on “The Real.”

“I have a big announcement. I’ve been in the lab, working both personally and professionally. One of the projects that I’ve been working on has been a co-production with my husband Christopher,” she said. “This is Quincy Xavier. He’s a boy, yes. Our first son, Sebastian Alexander, he’s six now. He’s very excited. My husband Christopher is also very excited.”

She added, “We’re very, very blessed.”
