Nelson Mandela Hospitalized In ‘Serious But Stable’ Condition
Nelson Mandela is currently being treated for a lung infection at a South African hospital, where he’s remained under “serious but stable” condition since Saturday.
According to reports, members of the 94-year-old’s family, including his daughter Makaziwe Mandela and wife Graca Machel, have come to the the hospital to visit.

Sources say churches and leaders across the country are praying for the anti-apartheid leader’s recovery.
“The former President is receiving expert medical care and doctors are doing everything possible to make him better and comfortable,” South African President Jacob Zuma said in a statement. “President Jacob Zuma, on behalf of government and the nation, wishes Madiba [Mandela’s nickname] a speedy recovery and requests the media and the public to respect the privacy of Madiba and his family.”
This is the fourth time Mandela has been in the hospitalized for health issues since December.
