Tracy Morgan has come a long way since his days of playing Hustle Man on the hit 90s show “Martin.” Now, he’s heading to FX with a new pilot, titled “Death Pact.”
According to reports, the network just greenlighted the comedy, which will star the “30 Rock” alum as a “lazy high school coach-turned-war hero who sucks three of his former students into his nutty new self-help philosophy.”

Nick Grad, executive vice president of original programming and development at FX, said “anything starring Tracy Morgan could be off-the-charts hilarious and we’re betting this one is.”
“Rob Long, Tad Safran, Eric Tannenbaum and Kim Tannenbaum have delivered a terrific starring vehicle for Tracy. We look forward to casting the other three co-stars and getting started with production. This is going to be fun,” he said in a statement.
Executive producers for “Death Pact” include “Cheers” executive producer Rob Long, “The Long Weekend” writer Tad Safran, and “Two and a Half Men” executive producers Eric Tannenbaum and Kim Tannenbaum.
Production for the 30-minute sitcom will begin this summer in New York and New Jersey.
