Rihanna has decided to “soften” her restraining order against Chris Brown, her lawyer Donald Etra told E! News. The decision comes almost exactly two years after the Grammy night assault in 2009.

Rihanna has requested that the order be dropped to a level one—meaning that they can have contact as long as Brown doesn’t annoy, molest or harass her.

The original restriction by Judge Patricia Schnegg, put into effect in August 2009, mandated that the former couple were barred from communicating with each other and that they must maintain their distance if they were to attend the same event.

Rihanna’s decision is sure to upset some fans, as it already has blogger Sandra Rose, who upon hearing the news, took to her Twitter account to express her opinion:

“I just unfollowed Rihanna. I don’t follow fools. She’s a disgrace to the fans who love her…. The true fans who supported Rihanna through those tough times after chris brown beat her azz deserve better than this.”

Never one to keep her comments to herself, Rihanna responded:

“I would’ve sworn he beat YOUR ass, just by how upset u are! My fans don’t care abt a restraining order and neither do I! My bad! … somehow I think u wanted to be on that leash in S&M! I got a feelin!Black blogs, white blogs, yall ALL turn me on! #iLikeItLikeIt”
