Rihanna is preparing to release her third single “S&M.” It will hit radio January 25, and she was already spotted shooting the music video.
She told Hollyscoop late last year, “It’s the loudest track on the album. It’s bad ass. And the ‘S&M’ video is going to be totally unexpected. I’m sure people will be surprised.”
An unknown source said, “We’re working with Steven Klein for the S&M’s music video, will be released in mid-February. We’re so excited 2 see Rihanna’s soon set, will have many lights, thanks to Melina and we will also have a dark thing, which is the hallmark of Rihanna. Anthony Mandler also help us, this’s THE VIDEO, will be sexy, will be LOUD !”
It wouldn’t surprise us if Rihanna worked with Mandler again. After all, he directed “Te Amo,” “Wait Your Turn,” “Russian Roulette,” “Rehab,” “Live Your Life” with T.I., “If I Never See Your Face Again” with Maroon 5, “Disturbia,” “Take A Bow,” “Hate That I Love You” with Ne-Yo, “Shut Up And Drive,” “We Ride” and “Unfaithful.”
And it the source is referring to Melina Matsoukas, she directed Rihanna’s “Rude Boy” and “Rockstar 101” videos.
Steven Klein, although he is a photographer, did direct one video: Lady Gaga’s controversial “Alejandro.”
