If you’re a fashion-forward gal that must have the latest up-to-the-minute items, look to trendy mass-produced retailers like Forever 21 and H&M for designer-inspired duds. The truth is something super trendy may last one or two wears anyway so you might as well save the cash and invest it on something a bit more classic. Scour these stores for some of this spring’s fashion-forward items like the jumpsuit, headbands and harem pants.
Overload on accessories
The quickest and most inexpensive way to update your wardrobe is to accessorize, accessorize, accessorize. Fun adornments can totally change any existing outfit and make it look fresh and new. Some of the hottest accessories to grab this spring are big bold baubles, statement-making necklaces, shoes, floral pieces and anything snakeskin. Look for bright bold purses too to add some extra spring punch into your look.
Inventory your wardrobe
Before hitting the stores, inventory what you’ve got! Chances are there’s something in there that can be resuscitated since trends are often recycled over and over again. Anything bold and bright is hot this season as well as nude tones and hot pink. And if you aren’t crazy about the fit, it might be something a quick trip to the tailor can fix and end up being a cheaper alternative than investing in something totally new.
