Spike Lee is organizing a block party-style celebration in Brooklyn to mark Michael Jackson’s birthday.
According to the huffingtonpost.com, the filmmaker’s bash in Kings County for the late King of Pop will be on Aug. 29, when Jackson would have turned 51. DJ Spinna will be spinning all things Michael Jackson.
Lee, a Brooklyn native, and Jackson collaborated on the music video for “They Don’t Care About Us.” Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz will proclaim Aug. 29 “Michael Jackson Day” at the celebration.
