UPDATE: It was revealed by the New York Times this past week that mega clothing retailers like H&M and Walmart were in the habit of destroying and disposing of excess, or overstocked clothing at two separate New York City locations.

The country is currently in economic turmoil, certain areas are dealing with frigid temperatures, and many can barely afford a decent winter coat. All of that considered, it seems criminal for some of the biggest retail corporations in America to be leaving bags of unused clothing on the street awaiting disposal.
