Fellas, consider R&B singer Kem as your relationship savior. Between his romantic lyrics and forgiving tales of love gone wrong-gone right again, he provides music for the grown man and woman (and in a time when everything is about booty, it’s greatly appreciated). The Detroit-native recently performed at HelloBeautiful InterludesLIVE, in Atlanta, where men and women raved about his soulful sound and stellar performance.
“My hope is that I’m giving the fellas an alley-oop,” Kem said during a candid chat with Smokey Fontaine, InterludesLIVE host. But, you already knew that if you follow his music. “There’s a little bit of fact and fiction in all of the music,” Kem revealed. “Some of it is what I hope for love,” he added.
After his interview, the vocal veteran performed an array of his classics and new music off his disc “Promise to Love: Album IV” at the intimate HelloBeautiful InterludesLIVE concert in Atlanta. From “Share My Life” to his new single “It’s You,” Kem left fans calling it an “absolutely phenomenal concert.”
Catch the full InterludesLIVE on concert this Saturday on TV One 8/7PM CT and fall in love with Kem all over again.
