For all of my die-hard fashionistas, Vanity Fair‘s highly revered International Best Dressed list is out and there are quite a few surprises. This year’s list is beyond expansive with categories like “originals,” “professionals,” “hall of fame,” “women,” “men” and “couples.”

MUST READ:

As you might have already guessed, Lupita Nyong’o was a shoo-in for this list that includes “the most polished, eclectic, and stylish of dressers,” according to the magazine.  The Oscar-winning actress made a few fashion hiccups on the red carpet this award season but managed to be our favorite regardless.

Other 2014 honorees include Idris Elba, Pharrell and New York Giants player Victor Cruz, but with any list of this caliber there were a few snubs. So who did Vanity Fair miss?

The President & First Lady

Even though the world stalks every fashion choice that Michelle Obama makes, neither she nor President Obama made the list. It’s surprising that she didn’t even make the “editor’s picks,” since Vanity Fair is usually one of the first publications to report when our First Lady is out being fabulous. I do totally agree with the inclusion of Idris Elba on the men’s side, with all of his undeniable sexiness. But Pharrell? C’mon people! When asked what his style inspiration was he proclaimed it was his comfortable tee-shirt. That slot could’ve totally been given to POTUS.

Kim Kardashian

I know the real world slightly hates Kim’s existence and the hope that she gives to all the basic girls with no real talent, but the girl can dress– Kanye approved or not!  She’s polished and sexier than most of the women that were included on this list.

Zoe Saldana

I can’t think of one reason why Zoe wouldn’t be included. She’s daring, on-trend and almost always wears what works for her frame. I smell a conspiracy here people!

Beyonce

I’m gonna argue that King Bey should just be included because she’s…well she’s Beyonce! I mean if Pharrell is setting trends with his comfy tee-shirt, Beyonce has to be contributing something, yes?

Anyways. Who do you think was snubbed from this year’s Vanity Fair Best Dressed list? Leave your comments below.
