Mack Wilds had no idea his debut album “New York: A Love Story” would be as successful as it was. The 12-track disc spawned the infectious hit “Own It” and received critical acclaim from peers. “New York: A Love Story” earned Wilds a Grammy nomination that was followed up with a 2014 BET Awards nomination for best new artist. Within a year, Mack Wilds solidified a position among the next generation of R&B stars.

Wilds is a friend of #TeamBeautiful, so when we requested he perform one of his album cuts,”Don’t Turn Me Down” for our live performance series Interludes, he obliged with a charming smile. The Salaam Remi and Rico Love is a sexy and tempting ballad that feels like the lead single off a nostalgic movie soundtrack.
