Al Jezeera America (formerly known as Current TV) launches today and is set to be a go-to cable news source. Kim Bondy (Senior Executive Producer of CNN’s “America Tonight”)and Richelle Carey–both from CNN are set to be the faces of the new faces of Al Jazeera America. “Al Jazeera America is going to fill the void of good storytelling that exists in American news,” Bondy says.

Al Jazeera purchased Current TV (owned by Al Gore) for a cool $500 million earlier this year and it will be discussing “challenges that continue to plague the country.” Will you be watching?
