HelloBeautiful is proud to announce the winner of our “Beautiful Friendship” contest and her name is Kyndall Peele.  Kyndall’s strength of friendship made her the winning choice.

Here is Kyndall’s submission:

They say friendship is good for the soul, but I believe a truly beautiful friendship is when the heart is filled with love and the soul is overjoyed. My friendship with Chelsea Tucker began August of 2006. I moved from Indiana to North Carolina to attend college and Chelsea was my roommate. From the moment we moved into our tiny little dorm we were inseparable. I truly believe that God places angels in your life who reveal themselves at the most opportune times. In December 2007 my angel revealed herself through a friendship I had never experienced.

During my sophomore year in college I was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer. As you can imagine the news was devastating, what made things worse was that I was 13 hours away from my family. I was scared and angry with God. I didn≠Äôt know who to turn to. My spirit was broken and the pieces of my young life began to crumble right before my eyes. But Chelsea was there, to pick up every piece and inspire me to live. She wiped my eyes the nights I cried until I couldn≠Äôt cry anymore. She combed my hair on my toughest hair days after treatment. But most importantly she loved and cared for me through it all when all others had forsaken me.

Today, I am three years cancer free and I do not believe that I could have fought through it all without the support of Chelsea. Her caring spirit and loving heart inspires me everyday to become a better person. She is the true essence of what it means to be a beautiful person. I did not find a friend 19 years old, I found my sister for a lifetime.

We would like to thank all our readers who participated in our “Beautiful Friendship” contest.
