Bey’s Dad Paying Off Radio Stations To Diss LeToya Luckett?

We all know that Mathew Knowles has a lot of pull in the industry but is he really that powerful where he can get radio stations to shut someone down?? According to bossip.com, a source in the Knowles camp says that Mathew truly despises LeToya Luckett and has been using payola to pay off DJ’s at radio stations not to play LeToya’s music. He wants to make sure LeToya’s new single”Regret” doesn’t get any bigger than it already is.

Here’s what they’re saying:

Our source says that Mathew thinks Letoya’s success will overshadow Beyonce’s if Letoya’s music gets as much airplay exposure as Beyonce’s.

We also learned that Beyonce is aware of what’s going on but won’t say anything to stop her dad. Apparently, she trusts Matthew and what he’s doing. Bossip researched and found out that Letoya’s single is in the top 5 spot on Urban radio charts, showing that the song has the potential to be played at the top urban radio stations in heavy rotation, yet it’s not.

Hmmm… we wonder why. We hear that Matthew is covering up the payola expense to pay off radio stations by saying the money is being used to go and review Beyonce’s tour shows at various venues. We hear he hasn’t had trouble with east coast stations because of their affiliations with Jay-Z, but the west coast stations haven’t been as easy.

As if this wasn’t enough, our source tells us this is only the tip of the iceberg and Matthew has more up his sleeves. Such a shame, Letoya didn’t even bad mouth Matthew when we chopped it up with her a couple of months ago.

I agree w/the previous listing…Eva since Mathew n Beyonce dissolved Destiny’s child, I don’t have too much respect for her. True, groups usually neva stay together but Latoya n Latavia knew B’s daddy n manager won’t lookin out for them! Den they threw Farrah n Michele in, ain’t dig Farrah n back out she went?!?…Only reason y Michele stayed is cuz she seems like a supa push-ova, one of those “I’m jus happy to b here” types.lol Mathew needs to SHUT UP n worry bout his baby-mama hell storm!!

This attack started years ago. It remains the reason I do not like Beyonce. Why can’t you get yours without stepping on others. That whole family is a bunch of schemers. Beyonce, with the help of her dad schemed all the way to the mega money, Jay-Z. I would not pay $.05, to see her or hear her. The way they have continuously walked all over LeToya and others is sickening.

Believe me…as much as the world beyonce, You gotta know that theres someone else in this world that can put her(beyonce) to shame. Beauty & talent plus more! With all the new artists coming out she “will end up like Diana Ross -talented & lonely except for the ones still draggn on your coat tail just for 15 minutes of fame. And shame on you matthew, your daughter can share the spotlight sometimes if she’s that fabulous,then why are you so worried about other artists?

I love Latoya Lucketts song “I’m good” That just might become one of my anthems,lol! If Matthew Knowles is really doing this “It’s not a good look” It reminds me of something that Berry Gordy pulled when Florence Ballard left Motown and tried to do her solo thing! Miss Ross was his main focus and he wasn’t about to let her get overshadowed! Anyhow hate to compare Destiny’s Child to Supreme’s but there are some similarities in terms of drama! Beyonce is a beautiful ,talented sister in her own right,but what’s wrong with some good fair competition?Hasn’t that always made the industry go round? When you go to those lengths to block another artists blessings you must feel very threatened by them! Letoya is doing something! Not hating on Beyonce at all.She has some music I love also ,but this sh*t is petty!

Im from houston and Letoya’s song gets plenty of love down here! I love letoya but personally I hate the song and wish 97.9 wouldnt play it so much. I also think that its really time for Bey to get a new manager cause all her dad has ever done was make her look bad espeacially lately. He has done a great job with promoting her but in the end I think he is going to be her biggest downfall.

I Love Beyonce and her music, you know about the bad blood, between LeToya and Be’s father! The group Destiny’s Child, two members left the group because they wanted Be’s father out as their manager! One of those members was LeToya,Iam hoping that there is no more hate here, between these two but you never know!

@ bmccrack If you go on youtube, “Poison” Beyonce’s new song that will appear on her re-released album I Am…Sasha Fierce has more listens or “views” than Letoya’s “Regret”.

There could be some truth to this, I always wondered why this song hasn’t been played in heavier rotation, especially being that Ludacris is on it?!! And although Letoya is nowhere near Beyonce as 0VancouverHurts’s comment mentions, her song regret is currently hotter than anything Beyonce has out now. Just keeping it real!

Everybody know that-Beyonce blew up because she was dating Jay-Z and then married him…when she was with DESTINY CHILD nobody really talked about her-nor looked at her as much as they do now. i don’t believe this is true. first of all he’s not that rich. he would have to pay each dj and the radio stations very well not to play letoya’s songs. thats alot of money. the chicago area alone has 6-7 radio stations that play r&b. i’m talking about chicagoland. i’m not talking about southern illinois, dekalb, or Champaign also what do these so-call radio stations do when a caller requests to hear a song by letoya? i don’t believe this story
