Oh Twit! Top 5 Celebrity Tweeting Mistakes

At first I didn’t believe the hype about the new thing: Twitter, but now I have to say that I find it entertaining. It seems everyday Twitter provides a new story of celebrity mistakes. Here is a Top 5 mistakes celebrities make when tweeting.

1. TMI Tweet: We don’t need to know every little detail of life, including tantric sex (thanks Diddy for that one) or the birthing process (Erykah Badu). Jim Jones also provided some TMI tweet-ing in court when he spoke about his drug use.

2. Mis-tweet: This is the “did I just do that” tweet, that tweet you wish you could just take back. If you hadn’t heard Usher and Tameka are getting a divorce and Tameka took to Twitter to tell Star Jones about her lawyer, yet she told all of Twitter-ville. This is the most recent example, but there have been many mis-tweets in Twitter’s short history.

3. Over Tweet: There are certain celebrities that love Twitter a little too much. I could give you a play by play of Soulja Boy and Bow Wow’s lives due to the excessive tweeting.

On Blast Tweeting: Celebrities have really taken to Twitter to get some things off their chests, soon they may realize the whole world can access that. Serena Williams just went on blast about new Wimbledon rules, Tila Tequila has gone on blast about a huge secret she has that could shake up the world (she never did produce on that), Kelis gave her two cents about cheaters, and Perez recently tweeted away about his altercation with Will.i.am.

5. The Think Before You Tweet: Closely related to the On Blast Tweet, this is the “do you really want people to know that” type of tweet. Asher Roth probably doesn’t want people knowing that he thinks of the people he hangs out with as “nappy headed hoes”. Sometimes you have to think before you tweet.

Celebrities aren’t the only ones making Tweeting mistakes, one ex-GF posted pictures of her former man naked via twitpic, people are creating fake celebrity accounts and causing controversy, and others follow Bow Wow and Soulja Boy and over tweet. Whether you think the whole thing is stupid or tweet your day away, Twitter is getting some major celebrity action and some you don’t want to miss!
