Sources say Will Smith shut down the set of Jada’s TNT show HawthoRNe for 8 days because he kept making script changes.
According to the NY Daily News, normally Will, who co-produces the show, isn’t around much but since he’s not working on a film right now he’s been on set trying to make Jada’s character more dramatic and the the regular writers and crew are not amused that production has been thrown way off schedule.

Usually when a guy or female that is soo talented and highly intelligent like Will Smith, they tend to keep busy and want to improve and master everything that surrounds him or her. So I think the other writers and producers should ease up a lil bit, afterall that is his wife. We know he wants da best for her.

Will Smith was able to successfully transition his career from that of a rapper and sit-com star to one in which he is the highest paid actor in the world — with his movies grossing more at the box office than most other celebrities: a growth trajectory that demonstrates brilliant calculation in mapping out a strategy for success. I would venture to say that he is probably attempting to make his wife’s character more three-dimensional; thereby, rendering her more relatable. Will has his wife’s back, and if he has stopped production to tweak a script, it is because he believes that the changes are necessary.
While Hawthorne has received critical acclaim, the viewership has not been phenomenal. We all know that Jada is not a “shrinking violet”. If she thought her husband was leading her down a primrose path, she would put a stop to his intervention. She obviously agrees with his changes. She trusts that her husband is doing what is best for her, for her career, and for her long-term success.
There is absolutely no better feeling than to know that you have an intelligent man at the helm of your family, at the head of your career — keeping you on a steady course of perennial success. Jada knows that she can hand the steering wheel over to her husband, and that he will use his infinite wisdom to do what is best for THEM.
