Last night, E! aired the new “True Hollywood Story: Basketball Wives” episode. NBA wives and girlfriends spoke about the perks and hardships of their newfound lifestyles.
Dwyane Wade’s ex-wife Siohvaughn Wade was on the show. And though their divorce is still pending and he has since been seen publicly with Gabrielle Union, she took the high road and blamed the demise of their relationship on both of them, claiming they’d both changed drastically.
However, Dwyane still doesn’t seem too pleased. He took to his Twitter account to react:

If DWade did not want to court GUnion he coulda said “Naw BOO my divorce is not final and I’ll holla at cha when it is”. what do her looks have to do with being in the relationship? that was a superficial comment and definitely an uneccesary one because it took away from the moment. she is disclosing something that was personal and painful and still stayed classy. to me that speaks to her character.
Anyway, I applaud her for showing restraint and respect for herself and not show her a-s-s because that interview could have went another way, and as for D-Wade and his homies they seem like they are taking her interview the wrong way…I’m confused.

She protrayed herself/family with class and dignity. She did not point fingers at him but rather, took responsibilty and shared the blame. She took the higher road. Stay strong. If God will bring you to it…Then God will bring you thru it!

She is a class act. Her and her mom. They didn’t say anything negative about him. As for him moving on with Gabby Union, the show said he filed for divorce in 2007. I don’t think she was around then, maybe I’m wrong. It appears though that it was the fame and money, plus they met when they were 17 years old. Relationships r the hardest to maintain when u have no other life experiences. Just do right by her and the kids is what I care about…

I really admired Dwayne and Siohvaughn as a couple/family. As I have been a fan of both since Dwayne being drafted to the Heat. As I attended many of the Heat games, as I would often see her. Very pleasant and approchable. I was saddend to hear of the divorce. I’m praying that they can still be respectable friends and parents. I do not feel that she said anyhting disrespectful in her interview. I can only make a oppinion and not judge, but I think Gabrielle should’ve waited to be publicly seen with Dwayne. A lot of us forget self respect and morals.

on the one hand it looks to me like Siovaughn was good enough for Dwyane before all the hype and the money and the NBA driven fame (it sure wasn’t his sparkling personality). The problems began, at least publically anfter all the money and fame. When you aren’t used to either, both can go to yor head very quickly. I know, been there, done it, same sport. I can tell stories bout that glitter life, which ain’t much different than Hollywood. But if you decide your wife is no longer good enough, then break it off, get the divorce, then get on with your life. Dwayne just doesn’t get it, that all this distraction doesn’t set well with the NBA or the public. And Gabrielle comes with a reputation, rightly or wrongly, of messing with married men. As for Hello kitty111, I have been married twice and in several relationships before and between those marriages. I never found it necessary to chet, or get evil, or to hit, or to embarrass either myself or the sister I was with. We ended it and went on with our lives. Some of us were taught right, how to respect a lady, regardless of race, creed, or color. You gotta watch them generalities, they’ll wind up coming back and biting you in the backside.
