The Craziest On-Stage Performances Ever!

In honor of Black Music Month, we present to you some of the craziest on-stage performances ever – from falls to faints! Remember, though – this is only a list of things we could find on video. There are TONS more out there. If you have videos of any that aren’t on this list, post a link in the comments section! We’d love to put them on blast.

And in no particular order…

1. JO JO PASSES OUT ON STAGE; K-CI CONTINUES SINGING

The saying “The show must go on” isn’t always to be taken as literally as Jodeci member K-Ci took it when his singing partner Jo Jo passed out on stage. According to K-Ci, Jo Jo is no stranger to fainting, but when he passed out mid-song, K-Ci acted as if it never happened! The action happens at 1:48.

2. AKON THROWS A KID OFF THE STAGE

Akon’s got way too much pent-up aggression for anyone’s own good. While performing, a kid thinks it would be funny to chuck a CD at him. Akon, in response, brings the kid onto the stage…. then picks him up and throws him back off of it. Way to be a baby!

3.NIPPLEGATE

Everything was going smoothly during the Superbowl XXXVIII halftime show in 2004. Janet Jackson put on a great solo performance, and when newly solo superstar Justin Timberlake joined her on stage, the show couldn’t possibly go anywhere but up… right? Wrong. Justin bared Janet’s breast in what they later called a “wardrobe malfunction,” and that’s where the s*@t REALLY hit the fan. Which is why Superbowl halftime performances have sucked to high hell ever since.  Thanks, FCC.

4. BEYONCE FALLS DOWN A FLIGHT OF STAIRS

Let’s be real – everything Beyonce does is pretty perfect. But everyone, no matter how perfect they appear to be, has one of those really embarrassing moments that they’re grateful didn’t get caught on camera.

Until it’s caught on camera.

In case you haven’t seen it, here’s Bey falling down a few stairs on stage and acting like it never happened. That’s a G move right there. Cause you know it had to hurt.

5. MICHELLE WILLIAMS FALLS ON STAGE DURING BET PERFORMANCE

The members of Destiny’s Child don’t have much luck when it comes to walking in stilettos, it seems. But before Beyonce took her little spill, Michelle Williams took a tumble of her own during a performance on BET. The funniest part about her fall, however, is that you can actually hear her hit the floor, followed by Kelly and Beyonce giving her tragic situation the once-over, then continuing the performance. Hilarious.

6. LAURYN HILL UNPLUGGED

Compared to the other videos, othing really crazy happens here. Except for Lauryn. That’s right, her MTV Unplugged performance was when everyone first started going, “…..is it just me, or is she starting to lose it a little?” And, well, you know how that turned out. SMH.

7. AMY WINEHOUSE COULDN’T BE ANY DRUNKER WHILE SINGING “BEAT IT” WITH CHARLOTTE CHURCH

Okay, it’s old news now that Amy Winehouse has a serious substance abuse problem. But way back before folks in the states really knew who she was, she performed on Charlotte Church’s talk show in the UK blasted out of her mind. In case you can’t tell by this video, she and Charlotte are singing Michael Jackson’s “Beat It.” Except Amy can’t get any of the words right, so she’s really just yelling and looking gross.
