Omarion: Is Rihanna A Victim Of Industry’s Dark Side?
Since its release, Rihanna’s newest song, “Russian Roulette,” has had people up in arms with both good and bad reviews. Singer Tiffany Evans blasted her via Twitter for what she saw as glorification of suicide and devil worship. Ne-Yo, who penned the song, defended RiRi for doing “something a little different.” And now, Evans former label mate Omarion has spoken to The BoomBox about the “dark side” of the industry. Read what he had to say below:

“I don’t personally know Rihanna’s beliefs but I think there’s a very dark and very sinister part of the entertainment business and I think it’s very visible,” he said. “This is something that a lot of people don’t look at [but for example] Michael Jackson used to be a Jehovah’s Witness and I remember hearing that he wanted to separate from the religion – and this was during the time that he was doing ‘Thriller’ [which ended up being] his biggest album.”
Fast forward to now [and] it really made me think that there is a [time as an artist] where there’s going to be a choice. The[entertainment] world [dictates] that you have to be with three or four women, or do this in order to get that [and] I think it’s really interesting. With God and the industry, it’s really dark. The dark side is having to get in, there’s a certain submission you need to have. Just like a gang [initiation], so to speak. You might have to do something against your moral code. I’m not saying that it’s always this way, but when you’re someone that is young and you’re coming up in the industry and you really don’t have a grip on your morals it can be very dark. The game is just about over saturation.
I don’t know if Rihanna [has fallen victim to those pressures]. I’ve never really heard her speak about it. I hope that she doesn’t believe in that stuff and I don’t think that she does, but I don’t know. It’s not just been a Rihanna thing, [there's has been religious speculation] about a lot of artists.”

To those that made the comments on the gospel singers…did anyone say that they were not sinners when everyone has pretty much agreed that WE ALL ARE? Now, I would like to say this…if they are singing about God and is walking in God’s way (which bcuz we are not saints, we will not walk fully in Christs’ shoes. It’s the effort that counts), then the blessings are coming from God in the form of money. We don’t know what kinda sacrafices they had to do and we pretty much ain’t heard too much about their personal life (except Kirk’s), so we really can’t judge them about the music they make and where it’s inspirations come from. Everything on this earth (although satan thinks he controls it) belongs to God. He can grant money to ppl too. It’s the LOVE of money and what you’re willing to immorally do for it that is the problem. As long as you use the money that God blesses you with to do His will, then ain’t nothing wrong with that. He pretty much wants ppl to be actively of service to other ppl, whether that is giving to charity, ministering to others, helping the needy, doing missionary work or building His temple. That’s all He cares about. But yes it is true, ppl get money in their hands and then they become very selfish and stingy. His faithful and blameless servant Job was rich. So was King David and King Solomon (there’s more, but those are the most talked about ppl in the bible). They used their riches to glorify God. Not make the rich richer or the poor poorer. It’s the evilness in men that makes having a lil’ bit of money become someone’s fuel for hate, greed, lust, covetness, selfishness and death. Now THAT’S the shame of it all!

Just because some one says they believe in God doesn’t mean it’s the same God that you believe in. I think there is a lot of Satanic things going on in the industry. Omarion is a hypocrite because look at his video for Icebox, it’s very satanic if you what some of the symbolism means.

kaikai7 You are absolutely right. The ppl who believe in the Illuminati crap are naive and delusional. Rihanna even said God was with her during the healing process. That doesn’t sound like a Satanist to me. If you believe the ROC nation are illuminati, then you should also believe that every musician out there is part of the illuminati!!!!!!!!! All of them had to sin in some way or another to get to where they are at today.
