Birdman’s got a new track out, “Grindin’ Making Money,” and on it he puts Lil’ Kim, our current favorite when it comes to female hard-core rappers, head-to-head with Young Money’s newest addition, Nicki Minaj, who people claim could be the Queen Bee’s predecessor.
Sure, Lil’ Kim doesn’t have the same selling power that she used to and she’s using Auto-Tune on the track – didn’t she hear Jay-Z when he said to kill that? – but does Minaj really have what it takes to come gunning for the Queen Bee’s spot?

i like both but its no way lil kim should feel at risk for losing her crown. This is the reason why female rappers are not taken seriously. Be original and you wont have to worry about being compared. Much luv for nicki and kim….they both paid so i guess they can do what they want.

Lil’ Kim. Period. Lil’ Kim is the Hip Hop innovator. This Nikki girl is a Hip Hop imitator. Even Jose Feliciano can see that. For the newcomer not to respect the trailblazer is totally classless. You don’t take the mantle you graciously accept it…..if you are worthy. This is so distasteful and unflattering of the newbie. And then she won’t even admit that she admires Lil’ Kim? And just like the game has changed so do the artist – some for the better, some for the worst. Lil Kim, I love you and still do especially those early days with you and biggie.
