EXCLUSIVE: Will Tameka Get Remarried?
HB recently sat down with Tameka Foster. In Part 1 you read her thoughts on the media, how she got her start in the industry and her charity “Lost Ones.” Below, Tameka discusses marriage, divorce and shares style tips.
We have a lot of women that read our site, and most of our readers are working on a budget. Everyone is working on a budget. Can you share some of your style tips with our readers? How to get a certain look for less than a hundred dollars? How to have that one signature item?
Tameka: They are staple [items] of course. You shouldn’t follow too many trends if you’re really on a small budget. Get staples that are really inexpensive places like H&M and Forever 21 and Wet Seal and even Target that have fashionable pieces that you can get for your wardrobe like if you’re going for a corporate style, you can get a basic black skirt, and they sell them in every store. A lot of what makes clothes look better is the way they fit. It’s all about the fit. If you can get a good person to alter them [clothes] for you, I mean you can get alterations at your local dry cleaners, if they’re a person that works on staff, you can have things customized to fit your body better.
HB: We’ll definitely share that with our readers.
HB: Do you think you’ll every get married again?
Tameka: I would love to, and I am in love with the idea of love, so no I’m not ‘anti-love’ or anything, so yea I’d be open for it.
HB: So what do you look for in a man?
Tameka: Loyalty. Like most women do. Yea, loyalty. Like when I say loyalty I don’t mean it to be confused with fidelity. Loyalty means you’re loyal to whatever it is that you believe in. A person that’s loyal in their beliefs and they stand firm regardless whatever opposition. I could see myself being with an activist or some kind of… someone for a cause, right. Yes, someone for a cause and they’re passionate about and they’re loyal to it no matter even if I said ‘I don’t believe in it’ they have a mission and a goal with their cause. So loyalty is job one I’d say.
HB: I know most women’s divorces aren’t as publicized as yours, is there any advice you can give women that are going through such a difficult time?
Tameka: I would tell them all to stay prayerful. I don’t want to sound cliché-ish in saying so, but it’s what I found to be the most consoling thing. Stay prayerful, and to ask God for direction because whatever they’re going through, especially if it’s regarding your relationship, if you were meant to be, then God would fix it. And if it’s not meant to be, then He may be clearing the doorway for who should be there, you know? I so agree with you. It’s easier said then done. When you’re going through it, a lot of people would be like ‘get out of here lady’ when you’re going through, but that’s just the truth.

It makes me laugh when women say Tameka is ugly. LOL In my opinion she is pretty and alot of women saying these things really aren’t any of that themselves. But Usher in my opinion is not attractive his head is shaped funny. I think she can do better.

Ok she says she’s looking for “loyalty” well that works both ways. I’m sure when her first husband married her that’s what he was looking for and so were her first two children. You get what you give. She didn’t give that to her first family, why should she receive any now? And she wanted was the glory of being Mrs. Usher. Well as I’ve always said, “God does not like ugly”!

Hey,I am just getting to read about the story now.Can someone please tell me the full story that led to this divorce.Hmmmmm,Tameka isn’t ugly as I checked through her pics……She is just a natural African American woman…….A woman could be older than a man…..what is the big deal about that.I think some ladies are jealous of this woman’s success and that is why they write and say all sort of things about her.Who says she cannot remarry?it depends on how she plans her life.Well,if you don’t know everything she has to pass through in this world has been written by God.Hmmmm,I still believe they can still make up again……..We break up to make up.Tameka Foster live your life.

Damn Nelson38_bu1, you sure told the truth on that one. I am giving you a “cyberplay” (high five)! I didn’t even go there but since you put it out there. I have jits approach me ALL THE TIME that are like 22 or 23 years old. I will date younger but 27 is my cut off (5 years my junior). It is not uncommon. However, this sista married a man about 8 years her younger then it is breaking news. Not a big deal…not at all!

I dont see anything wrong with her either, I think because they were friends first for a long time, it was a decision like Lisa Marie and Mj to just get married and then the next was to have kids, he already knew she was fertile ass hell cuz she already has other kids, it was a celebrity power move, for him to make some new songs about his life, her to make some money and still they are going to be cool, everybody already speculates about Usher’s sexuality and this confirms it.

I don’t see anything wrong with the woman. Yeah she’s older than Usher but she still looks good. I bet if half the women out there took off the makeup they would look worse then her. All I see is haten azz people maken a comment. And for all you girls out there that think the older women are the ones trying to get the younger guys you are wrong. Hmmmm, Tameka has definitely had some work done. However, I must say it was too her benefit. I don’t think she was “ugly” (don’t like to use that word) but she was not the most attractive thing to me. Pics like 14,18,& 19 show her in a LESS flattering light. I could never put my finger on it but I think she has “masculine” features. Her facial structure is really hard/firm & unfortunately that is something that she cannot help. Whoever her doctor is he did a hell of a job because she is BEAUTIFUL on that top pic up there. I can’t hate on that at all. She looks “softer” in the face and her nose is more defined. Furthermore, it looks natural to me. I think people go too hard on this woman. She hooked Usher and birthed two of his babies so she doing something right (lol). At this point she don’t have to marry ever again if she doesn’t want to…she set for life!!!

She is such a physically beautiful woman, that I just don’t see any need for her to have gone under the knife. I don’t disagree with plastic surgery; I just don’t think SHE needed it. Did she get surgery quickly after giving birth??
I am impressed with what she said about loyalty, her broader definition of it. It’s definitely something that other people should take to heart.
