UPDATE: Tameka Spits Fire At Usher’s Camp

UPDATE: Tameka Raymond believes Usher’s camp has been purposely smearing her during the couple’s bitter divorce battle.

RadarOnline.com spoke exclusively to someone in the couple’s camp about the behind-the-scenes turmoil including the truth about the DNA test rumors and why Tameka continues to wear her wedding ring.

“[Tameka] is spitting mad against the campaign that has been waged against her just before Usher filed for divorce in Atlanta,” the source said. “He could have had the papers sealed but chose not to and stories were being leaked about the divorce two days before the papers were actually filed at Atlanta’s Superior Court.”

The source also pointed out some inaccuracies in the information that has been put forth about the couple’s split and relationship.

“Claims that they had been separated for around one year are just not true – they only split up around March of 2009,” the source revealed. According to other reports, Usher had requested DNA tests to see if he is the biological father of their 6-month old son Naviyd.

“Neither Usher or Tameka are seeking such tests as they both know that Naviyd is their son and despite everything that has happened she is still wearing his wedding ring,” the source added.

The couple got married in August 2007 and have another son Usher Raymond V.

While Tameka doesn’t hold ill will against her husband and “is not trying to prevent him from seeing her sons”, she feels that “she is up against a media machine in this divorce and is being portrayed badly by her estranged husband’s advisors.”

The source also pointed out that Tameka was legally separated from her husband before she began dating Usher and was never operated on in Brazil since she had an allergic reaction
to the anesthesia. The source also denied that Tameka ever suffered from a heart attack.

UPDATE:  Usher is finally speaking out about his recent separation from Tameka Foster.

The singer sat down with Entertainment Tonight for an interview about his new life and split from  wife Tameka Foster.

Here are some highlights:

On filing for divorce, but being in a “good space”:
“I’d hate for them to assume that. If there’s any turmoil I think it’s managing all of it, but having an incredible team that helps me do that it makes it very easy, or easier than it would normally be attempting to do it myself.”

On his new album:
“Every bit of music that I’ve ever made is either from a personal place or has been lived out.”

On being a dad to two boys under age 2:
“What I do is, I try to get [my work] done and get home on the weekends if possible … but when I’m with my boys it’s just all about them.”

The interview is scheduled to air tomorrow. Usher will tell all about his upcoming projects, and he has a lot up his sleeve — a new Body by Milk campaign, a new album, and a new fragrance!

UPDATE:  We wonder why these two got married in the first place. This relationship was doomed from the start. The singer’s relationship with Tameka Foster Raymond had broken down long before he decided to legally end it.

According to court documents: “The marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken. There is no reasonable hope of reconciliation.”

Usher is now requesting complete disclosure of all documents Tameka maintained since their Aug. 3, 2007 wedding, and that includes detective reports, voice and video recordings that may be the product of “surveillance or investigation.”

Usher also claims that the pair split last July, a mere 11 months after saying “I do.”

He’s asking the Fulton County (GA) Superior Court to award him joint custody of their two children. Usher and Naviyd.

This is going to get REAL ugly!!!

UPDATE: It seems like folks in Usher and Tameka’s circle were wondering “when” and not “if” the couple would divorce.

According to people.com, a source close to the couple said, “As bad as this is gonna sound, it was never a matter of ‘I wonder if they’ll divorce,’ but more like ‘I wonder WHEN they’ll divorce.’”

Seem like Usher never settled into married life, he still lived like a bachelor, would not call Tameka if he was going to be out late and more or less took her for granted.

“They peaked before they even got married,” a friend of Tameka said. “Right after it was over, they started to drift apart. [Usher] just wasn’t ready to settle down, at least not with her.”

We’re sure there’s more dirt that will come out before the dust settles.

UPDATE: Tameka Raymond is not wasting anytime, she’s gotten herself a lawyer who wants to make it clear that his client never cheated on Usher.

Eonline.com is reporting that Tameka Foster’s lawyer, Randy Kessler is nipping in the bud any theories that either infidelity or a third party played a part in the duo’s decision to divorce:

“She’s a great mom,” Randy Kessler said. “She’s been a loyal wife. She’s trying her best to take the high road and not attack him.”

Hmm, we had to read this twice, we thought it was Usher who did the cheating…more to come.

UPDATE: We’re hearing that the reason Usher filed for divorce is because he’s fallen for another woman.

According to radaronline.com, the singer has “fallen” for a female industry executive. We recently told you the singer was seen with another woman late at night checking into a hotel.

Is Usher cheating on Tameka?

“He can’t dump Tameka fast enough. No one likes her. Since the day it became known he was dating Tameka, friends and family have been telling him she’s not right for him,” a source tells radaronline.com.

Usher’s mother, Jonetta Patton–who boycotted Foster and her son’s planned August 2007 wedding after her future daughter-in-law attempted to have her fired from her post as Usher’s manager has always been dead set against the marriage.

BREAKING NEWS: Grammy-winning R&B singer Usher HAS filed for divorce from his wife of nearly two years, Tameka Foster, Friday in Atlanta.

Legal papers don’t cite an official reason for the split. According to US magazine, court records show the couple are due in court on Wednesday, July 15.

Usher is currenty living in LA working on his album, which comes out in October. He normally not one to take many photos, however recently he’s been photographed quite often. He’s doing the same thing that Jay Z and Beyonce are doing, which is hiring photographers to take pictures, that they have pre-approved. He’s trying to build positive press in his favor at the expense of his wife’s image. From the advice given by his mother (who’s hired a completly new publicity team), he’s trying to get the public to Tameka her under the bus. At this point Tameka doesn’t want to get divorced and everyone in her camp is thinking that he’s just doing this as a publicity stunt to sell more records. – like another Confession’s record. Some wonder if this marriage was really a cover-up for an alternative lifestyle. Once the divorce papers are signed, the floodgates will open.

UPDATE: Usher is about to make it official!!! According to people.com, the singer is expected to file for divorce early next week.

Tameka seems to be in denial, as a source who knows Tameka Foster Raymond, says the stylist is still referring to Usher as “my husband” and isn’t about to call it quits. “She’s been in his life for so long. She’s very loyal to him,” says the source who knows her. “Tameka is the type of woman to stick it out.”

The R&B star, 30, and his wife of nearly two years, 38, have been leading separate lives for months, say sources. “A lot of that is because Usher has been in Vegas recording his new record,” explains one source. “He’s done his best to keep Tameka away.”

Even while he’s home in Atlanta, a source who knows the couple – who have two sons, Usher Raymond V, 18 months, and Naviyd, 6 months – says the pair often fought.

“Usher has not been staying at home with her much lately,” says the source. “I rarely saw Usher around even before there were any children born.”

UPDATE: Usher’s soon to be ex-wife, Tameka was seen out and about last night when she attended the Upscale Magazine/ Magic Shave Screening of “Imagine That” starring Eddie Murphy. As we expected, Usher was not with her. We’re assuming that’s her mom holding Tameka’s and Usher’s son.

Apparently, Usher has been living the life of a single man for the last year, he was living on the West Coast, partying without Tameka all over town.

Eyebrows were raised whenever Usher sent a friend to collect his first-born son Cinco from Tameka’s home and deliver the child to him in L.A, or when he sent word to Tameka to pack a bag so he could take the boy with him on vacation.

A source close to the couple says, “Usher’s primary concern is for his children. He is a great father and just wants to do what is right for them.”

The couple has two kids together, Usher Raymond V, 18 months, and Naviyd, six months.
