UPDATE: Sources say the woman who left the three-page text message on Brown’s cell phone is Tina Davis, who is also Chris Brown’s manager.

UPDATE: This story has more leaks than an apartment in the projects.  Seems like the LAPD leaked out Rihanna’s phone number.

On another note, despite an online petition to remove Chris Brown as a nominee, Nickelodeon says it has no plans to remove Brown from its annual Kids’ Choice Awards, despite the singer’s felony charges for allegedly beating up his girlfriend Rihanna.

UPDATE: It looks like the recently reconciled couple are working on a duet together.

According to E!News, the seemingly reconciled duo have been working on a duet that Brown is hoping to include on his new album, due out later this year, a studio source tells E! News. “They’ve been working on it together,” the insider says.

They’ve also learned that record producer Polow Da Don, who has worked with Brown in the past, has been holed up with them at a Santa Monica recording studio for the past several days.

UPDATE: Oprah is sending out a very stern warning to Rihanna regarding her abusive boyfriend Chris Brown: “He will hit you again!”

Rihanna’s family has been unable to prevent her from going back to Chris, following his alleged vicious attack, but maybe she’ll listen to a word of advice from the Queen of Talk:

“You need somebody to tell you the truth in this moment. And the truth is guys, both Chris Brown and Rihanna, if I were your friend, I would call you up and I would say ‘Give it some time, get yourself some counselling, take care of yourself, heal yourself first,” Lady O said during a roundtable discussion on her Emmy Award-winning chatfest Friday.

“And also, ‘Love doesn’t hurt’. I’ve been saying this to women for years – love doesn’t hurt. And if a man hits you once, he will hit you again. He will hit you again. I don’t care what his plea is, he will hit you again.’”

I hope Rihanna takes Oprah’s advice.

We just got wind that Chris claim that Rihanna hit and beat him first the night of the now infamous beatdown. Apparently Rihanna has beaten up on Chris in the past and he would just walked away, pushher away, or up against a wall to get her to stop. But that night in question now is, despite previous reports, allegedly the first night he snapped and hit her back.

UPDATE: According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Chris Brown’s management team is working toward rehabbing his image with a possible deal with Rihanna.

Brown and Rihanna plan to co-author a book about abuse and appear together on a number of talk shows in a deal, which also reportedly includes a $10 million clause regarding Brown’s future actions toward her.

“[He'll pay] as much as $10 million… if he as much as squeezes her arm the wrong way,” a source close to Brown reportedly told the columnist.

In an e-mail acquired by Access Hollywood, Michael Sitrick, a publicist hired by Brown in the wake of the Feb, 8 incident, called several elements of the columnist’s report “inaccuracies,” including the book deal and the $10 million contractual agreement.

When reached by Access on Friday, Rihanna’s attorney, Donald Etra, said he had “no knowledge” of such a deal. He offered no further comments.

We’ve also learned that both Oprah and Beyonce have contacted Rihanna, while her mentor, Jay-Z, talks to her everyday and is reportedly trying to arrange a meeting between her and Tina Turner, a domestic abuse survivor herself.

UPDATE: According to eonline.com, Rihanna may have reunited with Chris Brown since, but police have revealed that she didn’t want him around immediately after she was allegedly attacked.

And it turns out the cops who arrived at the scene provided the singer with the use of their cell phones. Rihanna used a police officer’s cell phone to call her manager, personal assistant and two other people. All the calls went to voicemail at the time because it seems no one recognized the numbers.

“Plus, because she was screaming hysterically, and that led her friends to think it was “some crazy person” calling when they first heard her voice,” sources tells E!News.

And it seems like Chris Brown was looking to celebrate-at least his arraignment postponement by reportedly spending the evening at a bar.

The 19-year-old singer who’s already up to his eyeballs in legal drama spent the evening at the SLS Hotel bar with his bodyguards, according to video posted on TMZ.

UPDATE: GOTCHA!!! Chris Brown was officially charged with two felonies stemming from the beatdown of   his girlfriend, Rihanna.

He is facing assault charges by means likely to create great bodily injury and a felony charge of making a criminal threat. Brown will be arraigned at 3:30 pm today in Los Angeles. Given the nature of the charges and the severity of Rihanna’s visible injuries, the 19-year-old R&B star could face up to nine years in prison.

According to Rolling Stone magazine, a leaked police search warrant published by TMZ today appears to provide more details about the couple’s argument that spiraled into violence in the early-morning hours before the Grammy Awards. According to the LAPD detectives’ notes on the document, the dispute between Brown and Rihanna began after she discovered a lengthy text message from another woman on Brown’s phone while the two were traveling in Brown’s rented Lamborghini. As the two verbally argued, Brown allegedly tried to push Rihanna out of the vehicle, but she was buckled in, so instead he hit her head against the passenger window. While he was driving, he punched her in the face numerous times, bloodying Rihanna’s mouth.

“I’m going to beat the [expletive] out of you when we get home,” Brown reportedly said to Rihanna (TMZ edited the note, so it’s unclear what term Brown used). The “Umbrella” singer then called her assistant to say, “I am on my way home. Make sure the cops are there when I get there.” Brown allegedly replied, “You just did the stupidest thing ever. I’m going to kill you.” That last comment is likely what resulted in the criminal threat charge.

All we have to say is RIhanna please walk away now!!!

UPDATE: Surprise, surprise..The feeling is that Brown may wind up with probation – not jail time – for allegedly assaulting Rihanna on Feb. 8.

According to eonline.com, the D.A. just got the case today from the LAPD and Brown’s attorney Mark Geragos began powwowing with prosecutors earlier this week.

“Geragos was downtown meeting with the D.A. on Monday,” a legal source says. Lawyers are doing a deal that would keep Brown free if he pleads guilty to a misdemeanor, according to E! News.

We wonder if Rihanna will show up arm in arm with Chris.

We’re also hearing that Chris hired high profile PR flacks to leak news about the reunion in hopes of improving his damaged image when he goes before a L.A. judge today.

We told you recently that this is not the first time, Chris has hit Rihanna, now we’re hearing that LAPD cops interviewed Rihanna after the attack and she told them Brown had been violent toward her in the past and that the attacks were getting “more violent” as time went on. The interview is potent evidence if the L.A. County D.A. charges Brown with felony domestic battery, and that could happen as early as today

UPDATE: Tabloids are reporting that Rihanna has spoken to friends about Chris Brown abusing her.

Here’s the alleged story:

“Rihanna was applying makeup to her right eye, which I noticed looked puffy and discolored. Her friend said, ‘You’re eye looks [EXPLETIVE] up! He’s an [EXPLETIVE]! Why do you put up with him and let him hit you?’

“Rihanna told her, ‘It’s not his fault. When he hurts me, he’s a beast, but then he turns into my angel … He’ll hit me and then feel bad afterwards, but then he turns into the sweetest man and becomes my angel. He’ll cry like a little baby when he makes it up to me, and that’s the part I love.’”

UPDATE: Folks are wondering what really went down in Miami last weekend.  Rumor has it that Rihanna and Chris were secretly married while in Miami:

In the March 16 issue of Star magazine, they’re reporting that the couple had a tearful face-to-face meeting at Diddy’s $14.5 million Miami mansion, during which an emotional Chris apologized, begged for forgiveness and proposed to her on the spot.

UPDATE: According to mediatakeout.com, things are HEATING Up in the assault case against Chris Brown:

Rihanna has agreed to speak to the prosecutor’s on Chris’ behalf.” and if need be – admit to her part in the “incident.”

Another person close to the case says that Chris Brown and prosecutors are EXTREMELY close to a plea deal. Chris would plead “no contest” to misdemeanor domestic battery and receive NO JAIL TIME.

UPDATE: According to US magazine, Rihanna and Chris reportedly reconciled this past weekend at Diddy’s Miami house.

Brown began calling Rihanna on her 21st birthday, the same day the photo of a battered Rihanna leaked out.

“They’re together again. They care for each other,” a source from the Brown camp told the magazine. “While Chris is reflective and saddened about what happened, he is really happy to be with the woman he loves.” The pair haven’t been photographed together yet, but shots of Brown jetskiing near Miami’s Star Island have emerged.

Brown began taking anger management classes last week in an effort to repair his image, but a reconciliation with Rihanna is perhaps the only way the 19-year-old R&B star can save his career after being dumped from commercials, radio stations and the promotion of his upcoming film Bone Deep in the wake of his arrest. In fact, E! reports that Brown is already back in Miami’s Hit Factory studio working on new music.

Beaten-up beauty Rihanna donned a bikini and soaked up some Mexican sun a day after her 21st birthday.

The shocking bruises that sources say boyfriend Chris Brown left on the songbird’s face just before the Grammy Awards were not visible in exclusive photographs obtained by the Daily News (see print edition for photos).

Nor was she smiling.

Her grim expression, so at odds with the balmy setting, hinted at the heartbreak the “Umbrella” singer has endured since her private agony became public knowledge.

Rihanna’s family was furious after a photograph of her battered face was leaked, and the singer was determined to get out of Los Angeles.

Shortly before she split last Thursday, Rihanna released a note to her fans telling them “she remains strong.”

Then, with a couple of close friends, Rihanna decamped for a private beachside villa in Punta Mita.

Brown, a 19-year-old R&B singer, was arrested on suspicion of making criminal threats against Rihanna after the Feb. 8 attack. He has since enrolled in anger management classes.

UPDATE: We just can’t keep up with the twists and turns of this situation.  According to two tabloids this week, Rihanna was PREGNANT during the altercation with Chris Brown.

According to Star Magazine:

Just days before the terrifying incident, [Rihanna] had consulted an ob-gyn after confiding in close friends that she believed she was pregnant.

“Rihanna was afraid to tell Chris about it because she was sure he didn’t want to have a baby, “says a source … [but] on Jan 26, Rihanna, wearing dark sunglasses, a black off-the=shoulder top, black pants and black boots, had a scheduled appointment at the office of Dr. Gregory Ewertz in Cedars-Sinai Medical center.

The National Enquirer has a similar story:

Rihanna has told pals that horrifying thought raced through her mind as her boyfriend Chris Brown brutally beat her – because she thinks she is pregnant…

Rihanna had missed her period and told friend that she thought she was pregnant. But when she told Chris he didn’t want to talk about it and was in sort of denial.”

UPDATE: In a reported attempt to regain his “good guy” image and learn to control his aggression, Chris Brown is taking anger management classes.

According to the New York Daily News, the troubled R&B singer, who allegedly left his girlfriend Rihanna with a bloodied and bruised face after an altercation, reportedly attended his first anger management class on Monday. “Chris doesn’t actually have to go by law,” a Brown source told the NY Daily News, “but he believes it will make him look better to the public, and he wants to try to get in a few classes before March 5,” when the “Forever” singer is due to appear in court on charges of making felony criminal threats.

Rihanna, who celebrated her 21st birthday on Friday, is reportedly set to appear in court to testify. “She’ll be there — she has to testify,” explained the source. The source added that although Brown faces charges of a felony, he most likely won’t face time in lockdown. “If Chris in convicted, it would be his first offense. He won’t go to prison.”

UPDATE: Looks like Rihanna is trying to get on with her life:

“Rihanna, accompanied by some pals, first went to an early showing of Tyler Perry’s Madea Goes to Jail in Santa Monica” an eyewitness tells Life & Style. “She looked beautiful. She was wearing glasses, so you couldn’t see her eyes, but she looked fine to me.”

After the movie, Rihanna hit up the Hollywood Hills for a birthday party in her honor. “People were scrambling at her feet to make sure her every wish was granted. There was birthday cake, champagne, you name it!” a party guest tells Life & Style.

And how did the songstress handle all the attention? “She was a bit shy at first and kept her glasses on most of the night. But once she saw her old crew and got used to being out, she really got into it. She was even dancing!” the party guest reveals. “You could tell she was happy to be out. She needed it.”

The party wrapped up with her friends serenading her with “Happy Birthday.” “That definitely made her smile!” the party guest says. “She’s healing and it will take time, but she still looked beautiful.”

UPDATE: Rihanna is reportedly thinking about rekindling her romance with Chris, after he bombarded her with gifts for her 21st birthday. The 19-year-old singer sent Rihanna a bunch of presents including an iPod and diamond necklace and bracelet and also phoned her during her low-key party on Friday.

A source told the New York Daily News newspaper: “Chris called Rihanna to wish her a happy birthday. He’s absolutely trying to get back into her good graces. He knows he’s very much in the doghouse right now, and is doing everything he can to show her how sorry he is.”

Despite Rihanna’s friends being against the reunion, the Barbados-born beauty is feeling lonely without Chris. The source added: “Rihanna so wanted Chris with her on her big day, but obviously realises why they can’t be together right now.

But it’s becoming more and more clear that she can’t be without him.”

Despite her recent troubles, the ‘Shut Up and Drive’ singer managed to enjoy her casino-themed birthday party, held at a rented Hollywood house, and appears to be recovering from the facial injuries she sustained in the alleged attack.

The source said: “She hasn’t scarred or anything. She was in a great mood. She was really celebrating not just her birthday, but life in general. “Her theme was ‘Blackjack 21′ and all the guests gambled. And although there was alcohol available, Rihanna wasn’t drinking.”

UPDATE:  Rihanna was spotted heading to an airport in L.A. last night.

Rihanna broke her silence on Friday, her 21st birthday, by releasing a statement through Rubenstein Associates. ”At the request of the authorities, Rihanna is not commenting about the incident involving Chris Brown,” the statement read. “She wants to assure her fans that she remains strong, is doing well, and deeply appreciates the outpouring of support she has received during this difficult time.”

The singer canceled a planned birthday bash in New York and postponed concerts overseas in the days following the incident.

UPDATE: Rihanna’s dad is speaking out about the alleged sale of his daughter’s police evidence photo.

While Rihanna has been in Barbados with her friends and family recovering, her father couldn’t keep quiet about the leaked photo of his daughter after her February 8 incident with Chris Brown. He described the photo as “terrible.”

“Yeah, I saw it. It’s disturbing,” Ronald Fenty said after seeing a picture of a female, who appears to be Rihanna, with bruises and cuts on her forehead, lips and cheeks. Fenty thinks that after people see the photo they will be able to “grasp the situation a lot better.”

“Sloppy work on their part,” Fenty told People about the Los Angeles Police Department’s handling of the case on Friday.

The LAPD is currently conducting an internal investigation on the leaked photo, which emerged on TMZ on Thursday night and quickly spread across the Web.

“The photograph has the appearance of one taken during an official Domestic Violence investigation,” the LAPD told Access Hollywood in a statement. “The Los Angeles Police Department takes seriously its duty to maintain the confidentiality of victims of domestic violence. The Department launched an immediate internal investigation and subsequently filed a personnel complaint.”

And while today is the singer’s birthday, her father was unaware of any plans to celebrate.

“There’s no party that I know of,” he told People.

UPDATE: Los Angeles police have opened an internal investigation into who illicitly leaked a closeup photograph of Rihanna’s brutalized face purportedly taken after her Feb. 8 altercation with Chris Brown.

According to E Online, “The Los Angeles Police Department takes seriously its duty to maintain the confidentiality of victims of domestic violence,” the LAPD said in a statement Thursday. The department has yet to publicly identify Rihanna as the alleged victim in Brown’s case.

“A violation of this type is considered serious misconduct, with penalties up to and including termination.”

The LAPD says that it immediately launched an investigation after its media relations department was inundated with press inquiries about the picture, which first surfaced on TMZ.com and which appeared to the cops to be a photo taken “during an official domestic violence investigation.”

The police encourage anyone with information about how the photo got out in the first place to contact the department.
