Oprah Says Not A Weave, Cassie Needs One
Oprah Winfrey wants everyone to stop asking her about her weave, so she decided to show the world this is her her real hair.
According to huffingtonpost.com ,the daytime talk show host is now fascinated with Twitter and the topic that seems to fascinate her “Tweeple” is her hair.
On Friday’s episode of “Oprah Fridays Live,” Oprah addressed the question most of her viewers wanted an answer to. “”Am I wearing a weave? Everybody’s like, ‘Oprah, we love your weave,’” she said, before flashing a photo of herself with pre-ironed, pre-curled hair to set the record straight.

It didn’t look like a weave to me, more like a wig. Her front hair texture and color never matches the curls. But if it makes her happy to say it isn’t, then so be it. It really isn’t a major issue. Star said she lost weight with diet and exercise when she really had gastric bypass. The denial was bigger news than the actual operation. And it didn’t change effect the Dow Jones in any way … LOL

I totally understand oprah.Its so f*&^ed up that their is this assumption that if you are a darkskin woman,and your hair is long,its a weave..I get so sick and tired of people assuming my hair is a weave..its 100 percent home grown and im proud of it..just to tell a story,me and friend when we were younger both had super long hair.she was of haitian and i am african american..well,when halley berry came out with that halley hair cut back in the day,u know that bobbed cut that was super cute on HER,,my friend cut all of her long ass hair out to get that do..she asked me to do it to and i was like HELL NO!!! we all know that most likely,if we cut our hair,it may not grow back that long.and it didnt..
what im getting at is this,,their are a whole lot of black girls that start out with long hair when they are young.the problem is,thier mothers either cut it or start perming to early to get it straight..i was 17 when i put my first perm in.i stopped perming 5 years later,didnt cut it out,just grew to perm out by hot combing the new growth.its ok to be natural..when u want it straight,hot comb it..most women dont want to deal with all the work..but its better to have some then not have some.stop perming these little girls hair and let them grow..damn,give them a chance to enhance their natural beauty and let them decide when they get older what to do with it.just like oprah,,i have to break out my pics to prove its all mine..but people are not stupid,,they can walk up on u and see whats yours and whats not.i have nothing against women who wear weaves,but dont walk up on me and assume mine is because yours is.society is at work hard to try to uglify black women.get it straight,,natural black women are out there in abundance.stop believing that nonsense on tv about what they say u are..
