Keyshia Cole On Why She Parted Ways With Family
Keyshia Cole gives an update on career, baby and relationship with estranged family.
After hearing all the rumors that are making the rounds on the internet, Keyshia Cole released the following statement:
To all my friends and fans – It’s time that I clear the air. It’s not a secret that I haven’t been in contact with my mother Frankie, and my sisters Neffe and Elite and I never wanted to air out our differences to the public. While I won’t go into detail here I find it necessary to let you guys know I decided to stop communication with them because I was at a point in my life where I needed serenity and peace to move forward. Please know I love my family very much but it was time to let it go. You guys are a witness to a lot of what was happening from watching on air and online. Now that I am becoming a mom my passion for having a loving and peaceful home for my child is my #1 priority. It’s very important to both Daniel and I. My plate is very full; I have a new baby coming, we are planning our wedding and I am working in the studio on a new album that I am close to completing. The stress that my family is giving me with their constant false reports is not healthy and it’s not what I need at this time in my life. Please understand that there are only a few people that can officially confirm or deny anything that’s happening in my life and that’s me, Daniel, and my publicist, Tresa Sanders. And my girl Monica never lies.

I wonder what took her so long. She should’ve parted ways a long time ago. No offense but her mother and sister Neffe are total losers. I tried to give Neffe the benefit of the doubt but when got pregnant again, I gave up on her. She is ghetto and typical. Frankie is not worth much typing.

Thats real talk. I know for certain that there is a time to let people go, and its okay. You have greater responsibilities than to uphold grown folks. They got their own way now, at least. Sometimes that is the way it was suppose to be. I have had to do some similar things in my life, Its okay to let folks go, so you can get that peace in your heart that will allow God to bless you. Congrats on the whole package. Cant wait til your CD drops.

Keyshia certainly did the right thing by putting her baby and herself first. She did a lot to revive her birth family but it seems that Frankie doesn’t want a decent life, and never has. Poor Neffe and Elite are stuck with her. Women like Frankie should give all their kids up for adoption if they can find decent families to nurture them. Frankie wants the benefit of having children, but she doesn’t want the responsibility of raising them, and for that she is a SELFISH JERK who doesn’t deserve to be around her beautiful grandchildren.

i can agree with you i have a brother who have put the whole family through hell he ten years younger then the rest of my siblings and was not brought up under my dad strict up bringing because my dad died when he was eight and we all shower him with love and its not good enough i tried every thing i know how to help him so just do like i am doing pray for your family and move on you have your family that raise you and now anew family a son and a husband to be so you dont owe them nothing be happy and god bless you keep making beauiful music.

I agree wit keisha on this one you gotta do wat u have 2. My family act the same way and b4 i cut them off i was so stressed(I had 2 start therapy over them) to much drama. But after i distanced myself i finished school, got a job and relationship betta than eva. Do wat u gotta do girl your own fam and health is #1 rite now.
