Janet Jackson: “Dr. Murray Killed My Brother”

In an interview with ABC’s Robin Roberts, Janet stated, “He was the one that was administering … I think he is responsible.”
Murray has admitted to administering Propofol to Michael Jackson, but claims he didn’t kill Michael. In the interview, which airs Wednesday, Janet also claims Murray should no longer be allowed to practice medicine.
Janet also says Michael is constantly on her mind, saying “It’s been a tough year … You have your days where it’s just really — it’s hard to believe. And a day doesn’t go by that I don’t think about him.”

Jackson also recounts June 25 — the day Michael died — saying, “I was at my house in New York. You know, another day. Another morning. And I get a call … [my assistant] said, ‘Your brother’s been taken to the hospital. It’s on CNN right now. I called everyone’s. There’s a line busy or — someone wasn’t picking up. I spoke to mother. I spoke to Tito. I spoke to my nephew Austin. I spoke to my sister La Toya.”
Jackson added, “I told them to call me when they got to the hospital. And I remember thinking nobody’s calling me back, so I tried calling again, and that’s how I found out that he was no longer … I couldn’t believe it.”
“It just didn’t ring true to me. It felt like a dream. It’s still so difficult for me to believe. It’s, you know, you have to accept what is. But it’s hard. You have to move on with your life. You have to accept what is and I understand that.”

I personally think there are points to both side, but it’s all speculation. Some have said that Michael requested the drugs and the reason he got top dollar as the doctor is because he would go outside of the standards to give Mike what he wanted. In that case, yes the doctor is criminally liable in the court of law, but morally Mike is also responsible for his death. A doctor can recomment rehab, but no one can force you to rehab. It is up to the individual whether they want to be admitted into a facility. Just from a Christian standpoint, I view it like this. If I were in Mike’s shoes, it won’t be like this world. People here will argue who’s at fault over his death, but the truth is on judgement day God is not going to ask me about anyone’s decisions but mine. If I have an addiction, I … not the doctor, not my mother, not my father, but I must realize I have an addiction and I have to seek God to send me help…. period. That’s where I am in life. I do not believe God is going to say to me “I’m sorry that doctor did wrong by supplying you with medicine which was addictive”. I would suspect Mike knew the medicine he was being given was not suppossed to be administered in a home setting. Again, it’s all speculation but if Mike knew it was wrong, he does in fact share in the blame. Many times, the buck is passed to one individual but in reality there’s usually enough to go around. The important lesson to learn, if you ARE addicted, seek help. There are enough resources on the internet to check on the medicine your doctor is perscribing. And above all, think to what God is going to ask YOU about the situation when you stand before Him. I assure you the questions will not be about why the doctor gave you anything, but it will be about why you continued to take them. Down here we can argue back and forth, but that conversation with God won’t have any argueing…. He’s just going to lay your decisions out there and then make His own decision so my advice is choose wisely in everything you do… even if a “doctor” or “expert” is recommending it. You can always get a second opinion.

Not one person addressed WHY he was on pain killers, they just said he was addicted to drugs and should be held accountable for his actions like he was on the street shooting up and overdose. This doctor injected him with a overdose, a doctor, someone who should know better…he died at the hands of SOMEONE ELSE!! Someone who got paid and left him there hoping for the best or mabe not…afterall, he got his. We want, well most of us want drug dealers off the streets so what’s the difference and actually it’s worse because we trust our doctors. Murray could have very well directed or even taken MJ to a rehab facility, emergency or whatever to assure his safety, but his health and well being was not placed first, he got the money and basically said ‘oh well.’ Everything else is irrelevant…just so sad!

This reply is addressed to Shakka and Abesgirl21 and Antoin_0827, Your reply is a big double-standard. The question I would like to ask y’all is do you think drug dealers should be held responsible for their selling drugs to others? I’m not saying 100 percent, but any percent at all? Yes or no? Could y’all state the reason either way, I’m very curious of yawls answers. It’s amazing that Dr. Conrad Murray gave Michael Jackson drugs in a non hospital setting and if that wasn’t enough, gave Michael a overdose of Propofol and didn’t even follow the standard medical procedures of staying in the room with the patient and to make sure his heart beats and if not he can perform C.P.R. This doctor left Michael Jackson by himself for hours and Michael is paying him top dollar. Nobody walked in Michael Jackson shoes to understand the huge health problems Michael had such as vitiligo which causes Michael to lose his melanin. Then Michael had lupus and also Michael suffered from a broken vertebra and he also broke his leg and needed pain killers for those as well as and the burning hair incident with the Pepsi commercial he did years ago. Also, he had severe sleep disorders that could be the result of many health issues he’s been suffering from and that could have been the catalyst for Michael becoming addicted to pain killers. But that doesn’t mean any dang Doctor can overdose Michael Jackson because he cant sleep and he is in pain. There are still rules to the medication game, and this crooked Doctor Conrad Murray broke those rules, so for that he needs to be stripped of his medical license and I think what he did was extreme Medical neglect that fringes upon criminal neglect. Nobody should be saying its all Michael Jackson fault. Medical Practitioners have a responsibility to follow medical rules to help their patients and clearly Dr. Murray failed miserably in those medical protocols; so he is guilty as charged! The Jackson family not only should sue him for millions of dollars, but they should have his Medical license stripped for life, and he be criminally charged as well.

IF it was ordinary street drugs, we can say that no one is to blame but MJ because he would have put the needle in his, arm, neck, leg or whatever, HOWEVER, these drugs could ONLY be administered by someone else and that someone is to blame since he pratice medicine…what part of that don’t anyone understand? This is a licensed doctor who knew the possible consequences and chose to ignore the potential hazards and even possible fatality stating that he was pleading and begging…so what, someone plead with you to get them out of pain and pull the trigger, you are still held accountable for taking their life. It is so sad that some are bringing up him wanting to be white and other matters when those issues are totally irrelevant to Janet’s claim of the doctor being responsible. Had it been anyone other than a licensed physician, I might have a little empathy because MJ may have been able to talk them into it saying that he did it all the time and nothing will happen or whatever, but this is a doctor who should have known better…period! Imagine this happening to your love one and stop the madness with his wanting to be white and hating on him if this is the case. If Michael wanted to be white and that appeared to be the case because his skin condition was a part of it and may have been easier to go lighter than darker, but he married white and so forth so maybe he did want to be white and I’m sure he was a very confused individual and with all of that said…HE STILL DIDN’T DESERVE TO DIE AT SOMEONE ELSES HANDS who should have known better, no matter how he may have peladed that he needed to rest. This doctor IS indeed without question responsible and should at least have his license revoked because his actions has reflected that he does not know how to honor the oath he was sworn into to under pressure. Of course MJ had some fault in this, but he did NOT administer the drugs himself…

I agree with Antoin_0827. No one put a gun to his head, and made him take those drugs. As usual, folks are always looking to blame someone else, other than the person that did it to themselves. They are still trying to point a finger at someone regarding Anna Nicole Smith’s death, which I find rather foolish. Like Michael, no one made her take the c**ktail of drugs that were found in her system. With Michael, I guess it was just one c**ktail too many. He has been addicted to medication for years, and I knew that it would only be a matter of time before his body got fed up. Michael has needed help for a long time, and sadly, you can’t help someone unless they want the help. Michael always got what he wanted, one way or another, and was never held responsible for the consequences of his decisions. If he didn’t get his c**ktail from this doctor, then someone else would have given him what he wanted. I agree that the Jackson family needs to stop trying to point the finger at his doctor, and move on already. He’s dead, it’s over, and if they continue doing what they’re doing, the world is going to start thinking that his own family is trying to make a profit from his death. What a shame!

I wasn’t in shock when I heard the news I was more like OMG my co-workers are going to think im psychic in January of this year at my job some trainers came from out of town to train us on the new project and the guy loved Michael Jackson as I do to and he started playin MJ’s music to entertain everyone and I just started crying saying michael is in pain michael is hurt hes sick and he wont live long and I couldn’t stop crying b/c I knew his death was a murder. The day Michael was turned away b/c he wanted to be medicated to go to sleep they could have just told him to take two benadryl tablets and he wouldve been out in 30 or less depending upon what he had to eat and he would have been feeling better when he woke up people have to realize his pain came from the stupid california hospital if they wouldve found better ways to give him his IV instead of in his leg he wouldnt have pain look at how they messed up his leg my God that would scar any body but he still had that confident bounce walk with his hair flowing and smile on his face when he walked past media. That doctor meant to murder Michael people prolly found out what he was giving Michael which could’ve jeopardized his job and came to MJ’s house angry it states he was stabbed with the needles you don’t stab people with needles nor do you inject it in their neck that type of drug you have to watch the patient and give oxygen just to make sure they don’t have a heartattack or sleep into a coma which the doc did none b/c he wanted Michael to die Michael was not a child molestor or like boys or men he was just misunderstood if any body followed MJ there was a segment back in the day with himand his kids and a black spiritulist woman came by to give michael and the kids their reading but one child stayed behind Michael was looking out the window and the lady told him he wouldn’t live long and he just laughed and she told me she was worried about Janet and the kids more than him and Michael just continued to look out the window and laugh. Those same spiritualist was interviewed including her after his death why could they have called him and been like go straight home drinks some wine and lay down. And he knew his death was near but you pay these spirtualist all this money and they don’t never want to pick up the phone when you’re bout to make an oops it’s like they feel they gotta let em die sometime.

I don’t think he didn’t do anything to those Children that they said micheal molested. Why is it that each time the man’s death is mentioned someone has to bring up this molestation thing? One thing has absolutely nothing to do with the other…period! This man is a licensed doctor and should have known better than to administer the drugs in the capacity that he did. I know that one day it will be revealed that money and a whole lot it played a significant part in his willing to give MJ those drugs because pleading or not, Michael Jackson or not, he should have known that the drugs he administered could have caused a deadly problem and it did. It is sad that somehow, someone (usually one of our own) has to reintroduce the rumor about his molesting boys and boys in bed and so forth….let that rest; let him rest…it was NEVER proven and even more proven to NOT be the case since one came forward stating that he was coerced to lie. Since it was never proven that he molested anyone and since now he is no longer so therefore EVEN IF HE DID, HE CAN NO LONGER HURT ANYONE ANYMORE, just why not LET IT GO!!! my heart and prayers still goes out to the jackson family and janet you may be getting older but to me sweetie u still look damn good i know it took alot of strength to do that interview but i know u did well as well as u could anyway and although i feel that this doctor shouldn’t practice medicine anymore at some point the family need to stop putting all the blame on the doc i love you michael but michael was as much to blame as the doctor i think the thing with doc murray is he knew the consequenses of this med so why did he administered it without taking the proper procedures it takes to give this drug that’s why to me he shouldn’t practice medicine anymore but in the end it was michael who killed himself he was no different from a junkie on the streets when it all adds up drugs is drugs no matter if they are from the streets or from the pharmacy taking excess amounts of any drug can be proven deadly michael had an addiction and it unfortunately lead to his untimely death R.I.P MICHAEL XOXOXOXOXOXOX

Streetdaze, you took the words right out of my mouth. People seem to overlook the fact that he killed himself. Yes, MJ was one of the most talented performers of our time. Yes, he did numerous humanitarian works. The list goes on and on. S**T, I’m a fan who loved him like so many people did. But people seem to forget that MJ was a man who chose to use legal drugs ILLEGALLY. I agree that the doctor should have his license revoked, but it’s not fair to charge him with manslaughter or accuse him of killing MJ. The doctor was the tool, but MJ was the one who killed himself.
