Etta James Wants To Kick Beyonce’s A**

Seems like Etta James wants to go in on Beyonce, and it was all on tape.

During a recent appearance in Seattle a few nights ago, Etta told the crowd: “You know, YOUR President, the one with the big ears-he ain’t MY President-had that woman singing for him at his Inauguration. She’s going to get her ass whooped.”

She went on asking “How dare Beyonce sing MY song that I been singing forever.

I was wondering the same thing, why not allow the original singer whose alive, and physically fit enough to sing her own song. With that said i think Beyonce did a fabulous job it was well sung and well delivered.

Its a shame that we all have cried about how our people have had bad breaks and the ” man” has his foot on our neck, yet we also are trying to wear that same boot to put on the necks of our own people..Why don’t we stop trying to find reasons and ways to put each other down and find creative ways to uplift….

Wow!!! I am shocked about Etta James dissing Beyonce!!! I am also takin by the situation with Lisa Raye and her estrange husband!!! I guess things just happen and some things take you by surprise!!!! I feel that President Obama should have asked Etta James to sing to him!!!

I think its tacky how the media entertains this negativity. I think its all publicity stunt to get people talking. Like really we all know Etta James sung the original “At Last”, but since Beyonce’s management is promoting her album she needs all the exposure right now….this is included. Everyone wants to spread rumors about Beyonce said this about Etta and said this about another celebrity why all of sudden these rumors are out….publicity cause her album and two movies are slated to appear for Beyonce this year. bad publicity is good publicity it keeps the artist in the spotlight.

i agree with the majority on this 1 Bee should have taken a lesson from J. i guess you don’t have to be young and be a dumb ass, you can be old and be a dumb ass as well. Guess she had her Depends on to tight the day the Obama Team sent her the invitation to sing on Jan. 20th.
Here a tip Ms. James, take your meds, take a couple laps around the Mall in the morning and when your done; sit in the food court with your coffee and read your bible and think to yourself “damn, i led a good life, why am i tripping?”

yeah they should have gave ol etta more props than beyonce.. why couldnt they do a duet….and this was a historic election etta performed in a time were we as black folks could only dream of.. etta should have song her own song or at least given first choice….

Etta James you are to old for that foolishness. If you don’t like OBama you have a right to your opinion. But I think that you should at least respect the man for all that his trying to do. It is a blessing that Beyounce choose your song to sing to the first black president and the first lady.
You should be proud and honered that the younger generation is enjoying you timeless classic. Instead you got bitterness and hate in your heart.
I sure that you are enjoying your royalty checks for Beyounce recording your again. I sure you did complain about that.
