UPDATE: Erykah Badu Exposes New Couple Solange & Wale!

If you follow Wale and Solange on Twitter, then you know that they go back-and-forth, replying to one another’s tweets, quite often. And while we’ve been keeping our eye out to see if any details slip regarding their possible more-than-friends relationship, we haven’t found much. However, Erykah Badu, who Solange playfully calls her godmother, sent this tweet to the younger Knowles sister recently.

Could she be referring to Wale? BTW, the rapper’s been announced as the opening act for Jay-Z’s Blueprint 3 Tour. In case you missed him, he just appeared alongside the DC-based musicians of UCB as the official house band for the 2009 MTV VMAs. (They performed between award presentations and before and after commercial breaks the entire night.) His latest single, “World Tour,” features Jazmine Sullivan.

“Couple Alert: Solange & Wale”

We’ve been hearing that Solange and Wale are a couple, they even showed up on the same blanket in Central Park. Now, and now she was spotted in D.C… at Wale’s birthday party held at The Park at Fourteenth.

Thanks to a Sunday night DJ, there’s a pic of Solange supporting her new “friend’s” birthday party. We have to say we did not see this one coming!!!
