Why Did He Marry HER… And Not You?
A close friend called to ask me a very interesting question. She wanted to know if I thought a man would marry a woman that he felt was argumentative, talked smart and had a little trouble letting the man be the man in a relationship.
Her reasons for asking this question were honest and sincere. She had been seeing someone for a couple of years, while neither of them were exclusive she could see herself settling down with him and he expressed to her that he hoped to settle down soon. The guy thought she was great too. Which she is, she’s strong, funny, pretty, independent, giving and honest.
Well the guy told her that he decided to propose to another woman that he had also been seeing. Naturally she was upset and after initially just accepting his decision, decided to call him back and ask him what made him choose the other woman over her. He explained it like this…

simple, because the man really wanted to be with her instead of the on he married. Obviously he was giving her a chance to come around but she never did.

Just because he says he wants to settle down doesn’t mean she wants to settle down with “you”, especially if you never expressed exclusive interest in him. Unless that issue is mutually addressed, you’ll be taken as uninterested and content with the current situation

Because he found in her what he didn’t find in her perhaps? Stop Over analyzing every single detail of yourself, the new partner, or your ex, Some things are not meant to be.
With that being said I’m argumentative when i’m provoked,I have a smart mouth,I can let a man be a man as long as he is not trying to “flex his muscles” on me.
I guess what i am trying to say is, You have to find a balance between letting a man be a man and speaking your mind when you feel like something needs to be said, I quote ” she comes from a past where she was never in control so now she’s quick to let it be known that she’s in control now”, See that’s a problem you can’ t carry your past with you in a new relationship people are different and it is unfair for her to treat people like she does because of what someone did to her in the past,Besides if she feels like she is in full control of everything and does not need anyone to lean on WHY is she trying to hold on to this man?and wait is he seeing both of them at the same time?
