Forget love.
People have convinced themselves that love is the moving factor when it come to relationships. Not true, especially in the case of women searching for a man.
Fellas, if you haven’t realized by now please take note:
Sure, women may be attracted to who and what you are presently but they are really thinking about what and who you can be in the future and how they can reap the benefits of the future you. We’ll call this the potential factor.
Guys, you can be making 60k a year at a mid-level job, renting your own apartment. You meet a woman, she learns of your current stats and within minutes she is brainstorming about how you will be making 90k a year, buying a house (that she helps pick out and decorate) and earning a promotion that will lead to a corner office.
Women love men who have the potential to earn, provide and accomplish more down the line. This is part of the reason why when a woman finds a man who is a diamond that needs polishing she brings a lot to the table early. She may spoil him, cook, sex him like crazy, things that show she is really there for him and locks her position in so when he does start climbing the ladder she is along for the trip…READ THE REST HERE!

some of the men posting here really need to get a clue. don’t put every women in one category. there are bad apples in every bunch. don’t assume that all women who sees a man’s potential is out for his money. My hope would be that all men would recognize their worth and strive to achieve it. you really attract what you put out there. For men and women who say they are educated with a good job, etc and are still single maybe you should evalute what you are looking for in a mate and do the opposite of what you’ve been doing because it’s obviously not working for you.
To be honest, I was flat broke when I met my girl… since then I’ve come a ways.
Its plausible that she sought me for my potential, but its not like both ladies and fellas have to put in 60% to make it work – yes, I did the math.
You guys are looking at this all wrong. They give you HALF the story and let ya’ll duke it out. It’s one thing to strike oil and date a Fortune 500. However, when you find that somebody, and you BOTH put in that work to make each other happy, there’s something there you can truly be proud of.
Some people aren’t diamonds-in-the-rough. But that doesn’t mean crystal, or even Zirconia cant’ cut it.

I hate to be the brotha that spreads the negativity, but this article reeks of some hot stankin’ BS! I’m a phenominal artist who is clearly destined for greatness and yet perpetually single. I won’t sit here and rip on the sistas (whether they are aware of their Royally F’d up mentality or not), but this goes for a bout 99.999% of women in this country. This is so wrong it’s not even funny. Why do women have to sum up what a man has or may have in the future. Women are doing the dang thing, we have our own money, cars, homes, careers and the list goes on and on, If I think right the script is usually switched to what a womens potential is. Hmph… This article is BS in my eyes. If women wanted guys for potential, I would have a girl right now. I’m single, no kids, a job in a terrible economy, have a college degree and an extremely nice and attractive person according to everyone, but I can’t get a girlfriend or keep one. I had a girl turn me down because she feels I don’t have the street smarts she likes… Meanwhile she’s with a guy in JAIL! I’m tired of women mentioning things they “want” in a man but then turning around and doing the polar opposite of their claims! I’m tired of being the “friend” and shoulder to cry on all the time. I have to be honest this was really a great article, but the last paragraph of the full version left out a key point, not everyman wants to rush.. some of us invest in women the same way females do for males, the one thing that a lot women tend to forget is that some men are not typical were growing and evolving, some of us are not the same men as our past fathers were, but in all great article but this situation goes both ways

I know where I’m going and I do have ambition about who I am going to become. I go to school and I’m about to get my BA and my masters is coming strait after that. I know when a man has the potential to be something grater than he thinks he can be. It bothers me to see a man let his talents go to waste just because no one encouraged him to be all that he can be. So if I am in love with a brilliant man that has fallen through the cracks and has become a product of his environment I will do all I can do to make sure that I help him to become the best he can be.
