Being A Single Mom Is Not Easy!
Let me preface this by saying that I truly have no idea what it is like to be a single mom. This is just my thoughts on a particular experience I’ve had.
My husband works as a director of a pre-college program. He works with high school kids who are smart but are maybe the first in their family to even consider college. As part of his job, he brings 125 high schoolers to the local college campus where he works for a summer enrichment component. For five weeks, he is busy with these kids. Making sure they eat what they’re supposed to for breakfast, making sure they attend their classes, do their homework and go to bed when they’re supposed to.
That leaves me, at home, alone with two kids all the time. I have to get them up, get them dressed, off to daycare. Pick them up, manage to make dinner with them under my feet, get them bathed, lotioned up, pajamas on, storytime, etc.

OMG @ _chiick I so feel U!!!….yea we all got problems but damn i cant stand it when these women (knew damn well because there is always a sign about these men they getting pregnant by) want to complain. I feel sorry for none, thats like these people crying on the news and asking people to stop the violence ONLY when somebody in their family gets shot. I am proud of the women who are doing it on their own and not becoming a burden on society with all this whining and crying about how its hard and trying to gain sympathy. As far as what this lady is talking about, what did she expect motherhood to be? And I so agree @ winterissocold…she needs to be more grateful. Also @ theoster1, I gotta give you props!

co-sign chica4eva_2 I’m a single mother of 2, 2 different dads neither one doing or want to do shyt and I prefer it that way because they ain’t bout shyt so my kids are better off not knowing someone that didn’t love them in the first place I grind hard day and night to make sure they don’t do without. As a parent you do everything you can and more for your kids

No it’s not.I just want to encourage you to be the best mom that you can be.Don,t do drugs, don,t party all night,and most of all don,t be a s**t/w***e.Live your life so that they can be proud of you and want to be just like their mom when they grow up.Hang in there, and if you need help don,t be afraid to ask.Most of all be proud of yourself.It’s never too late to change. I feel sorry for the women who are raising a child on their own. Especially those in their late teens early 20s. I met someone on BP whos 23 years old and raising a 2 year old son on her own and I know its gotta be hard on her. Especially working a low paying job. And the way things sound she left the father of her child before he was even born. Or maybe around the time he was born.

As a single mom I believe the biggest struggle is juggling all the aspects of caring for a child. Mental, emotional, physical, spiritual and financial. 9 out of 10 times one of those aspects will be out of sink.

Why is this chick complaining….try doing this, you are pregnant with your 3rd and last child, and then you husband decided to leave you while pregnant and one kid in diapers and one out of diapers….Try facing ur child with cancer and then she dies….he didnt come to the funeral….try raising the remainder 2 by yourself still, while going to college, working, attending after school programs, doing some other projects on the side for more money, while ur husband is living the good life, not calling, visiting, or just not being bother with your kids….that what u going through is nothing, at least he is there…as for my kids father…he is not and dont want to….so feel bless he is still around with you and your kids….

my dad raised me and my three sisters by his self and i raise my son by myself because his father died… so to the author you need to get a grip because at least your husband is there and not six feet under.

See the system is crazy. What about been a single dad. See i am a single dad doing what i have to do to bring my daughter up in life the right way, On top of that i pay child support to and it is not fair. But its cool i am just leavin in in gods hand. The wrold need to know there are good fathers out there.
