GLAM OR GROSS: Simmons Sisters’ “Pastry” Line

I guess I just don’t get it. Maybe I’m just hating because I’ve grown tired of celebrities and semi-celebrities creating clothing lines out of boredom and fame-whoredom. But at the end of the day, I still think this Pastry line is totally overrated.
Sisters Angela and Vanessa Simmons created the line, following in the footsteps of their Phat Farm-founding uncle, Russell. But the debate I’m having is… would everyone be jumping to buy them if they weren’t made and marketed by a famous family? There are a bunch of other brands I’d rather drop dime on than these. But maybe I’m wrong. You tell me.

I WISH YOU’LL WILL STOP HATING BECAUSE THEIR SHOES ARE REALLY CUTE AND THEY DEFINITELY LOOK WAY BETTER THAN JORDAN’S. AND NOT BECAUSE OF THEIR FAMILY WHY I BUY THEM, IT’S BECAUSE I PERSONALLY LIKE THE STYLE.

We need to be supportive of each other even if we dont like what’s being put out there, personally i woldnt wear them but i still give credit where its due.

i think people are not giving them enough credit for being creative and trying to come into their own forget who their father is they could be like Paris Hilton she don’t do anything of much importance and her money was gotten by her family. they could do the same sit back and collect or just reap the benefits of have a famous father but they didnt . if you don’t like the style of what their selling fine but don’t sell them short give them some credit and lets try to support each other
p.s. look at some of these ugly jordan sneakers but their one of the top selling sneakers

Even though I wouldn’t wear their line (I’m a NIKE girl) I still respect their game. Why is everyone hating? Because there father has good connects, if my parents had a good connect I would take advantage of it too. We need to stop hating on each other. No one is telling you to buy it. On another note there are a lot of young girls out there that look up to those two girls and are willing to scrape their money together to purchase these sneakers. Shhh.

I definitely think it’s the name that makes them. Young people have tons of awesome ideas and these two just come up with something and pitch it to daddy and wa lah….
I think the concept is pretty cool but the actual product is very, for lack of a better word, not cool. You’d never see me rockin a pair of pastries or donning anything pastry.
and don’t even get me started on that show of their’s! I was looking forward to it since I am a fan of Runs house. But their show is so obviously scripted I could not take it!
