Stars dressed the best for the big night. Both Lala and Serena Williams wore black; Lala in a form-fitting dress with jeweled headdress (a la BFF Kim Kardashian’s wedding look) and Serena in a belted gown with a high-neckline, hardware and cutouts.

Supermodels Tyra and Chanel Iman also walked the carpet; Tyra giving her best “smize” in a rich purple dress with a bow detail and Chanel in a flowy frock with a plunging neckline that almost showed off her goods.

The hosts husband Swizz Beatz looked dapper in an all-black suit, while his wifey and Kerry Washington both wore white; Alicia in a blazer with a gold shirt and Kerry in a striped and sheer number that gave us a peek at her bod underneath.

Banks has gone through an array of hairstyles, colors and lengths. We’ve even seen her rock corn-rolls like Queen Latifah in “Set It Off!”

Lets take a look at some of her greatest looks:

Kerry Washington wore a sheer & sparkly, printed asymmetrical mini while Kim Kardashian wore a form-fitting, cream-colored floor length gown.

But it was Tyra Banks’ outfit that got us talking: while we love the color-block trend, we’re not so sure she pulled it off as well as Janet Jackson. We just can’t put our figure on it as to why.

Tyra’s four models were dressed as I don’t know what. They wore afros, fake eyes and green outfits. Only one model was wearing heels. The other girls were in boat shoes and Tyra was climbing on streets signs looking like a straight up fool. I need an explanation for this!

A special fashion show last week in Los Angeles revealed the cast of the upcoming edition. The contenders of color will include:

Camille McDonald: the cocky, slightly delusional contestant from Cycle 2
Bre Scullark: the second runner-up from Cycle 5 who has since landed a contract with Garnier
Bianca Golden: the Cycle 9 finalist who later got herself arrested for fighting with the chick from Hairspray
Dominique Reighard: the third runner-up from Cycle 10 who has since become the face of Carol’s Daughter
Isis King: the infamous transgender contestant from Cycle 11
Angelea Preston: a second runner-up from Cycle 14

Also:

Brittany Brower: the goofy Janice Dickinson look-a-like from Cycle 4
Lisa D’Amato: the wino from Cycle 5

A lot of these women came damn close to taking the title during their respective seasons, so we can expect that with A-list personalities and A-list talent, this season should make for good TV. We might actually start watching again.

Tyra told CNN’s ‘Piers Morgan Tonight’ show: “I definitely want babies.”

When asked by Piers if she was trying to get pregnant, the ‘America’s Next Top Model’ host replied: “Yeah, maybe.” She also said she had no plans to marry before having a baby, explaining: “I don’t think it’s necessarily necessary.”

Guess Tyra’s is trying to beat that biological clock!!

Tyra also revealed that she would be willing to have a “nip and tuck,” “no hesitation,” but denied claims she had already gone under the knife to have breast implants when she was in her 20s.

The hit show returns Feb. 23 (8 p.m. ET) to the CW. Guest judges in this cycle include international fashion designer Lana Marks, model and stylist Erin Wasson, Rachel Zoe and model and actress Alek Wek.

Banks is in the two-week owner/president/management program, for which tuition is $31,000.

Rumors started swirling once Tyra tweeted a photo of herself in a Harvard Business School sweatshirt of herself (see right).

She also sent a photo of what appears to be her and some classmates, with the message: “Enriching my mind with these amazing buddies! They are sooooo intelligent! Geniuses!!!”

The Boston Herald spotted the supermodel all around town, dining, partying and “riding the Acela at South Station with her boyfriend John Utendahl.”

At the time, the 6’2″ Texan claimed she had the “world’s smallest waist,” which Miss J Alexander then put both of his hands around until his fingers met.

Tyra Banks later apologized for airing the clip as a promo for the show, but the incident didn’t stop Ann from winning the modeling contract, spread in Italian Vogue and $100,000 Cover Girl Cosmetics contract.

Being so tall and so thin made Ann the subject of taunting and staring during adolescence, but it proved an asset in photo shoots as she won five best photos in a row, a feat never before accomplished on “Top Model.”

“A lot of designers and people in the fashion industry are feeling like the future of fashion is not just still photos, but they’ve been doing mini movies where the models are acting things out,” Banks, 36, explains.

“I have to tell you that I have a whole new respect for directors through this process! It looks easy, but it ain’t.”

The film, which aired at the end of Wednesday’s episode, was shot at a castle in Verona, Italy, and incorporated high-fashion outfits, boyish looks, and crying scenes that channeled an “over-the-top Italian drama.”

After saying goodbye to her daytime talk show earlier this year, Banks is focusing on the launch of Bankable Studios, a N.Y.-based film production company. SOURCE

Tyra Banks Sued By Mother Of Teen “Sex Addict” Talk Show Guest

In documents filed at LA County Superior Court by her attorney, Tyra stated that she is in fear of Marten Williams Jr. who has allegedly stalked her and her family for the past four years.

“I am in fear from Mr. Williams for my personal safety, and that of those around me, including my family and employees.”

She also claimed that the man has a history of mental illness and that he believes “he killed George Bush Jr. and that Michael Jackson is alive and well and living in Long Beach.”

In addition, she claims that Williams left several “ominous frightening letters and items” at her home, including his prescription medication, LA County jail wristbands and a note referencing their wedding ceremony.

Williams had been arrested just earlier this month for trespassing on Tyra’s Beverly Hills property.

At the time Williams told police he was bringing the model “offerings”.

In the documents Banks requested the court order Williams to stay at least 100 yards away from her and her family.

Beverly McClendon, a licensed social worker, claims the former supermodel featured her then-15-year-old daughter — without parental consent — on a 2009 show about sex addiction.

According to public records, McClendon said her daughter answered an open call placed on Banks’ website last October.

The show’s producers contacted the girl and invited her to appear as a guest.

A month later, the teen allegedly flew unaccompanied to New York, where she was put up in a hotel in advance of her paid appearance on “Tyra,” which ceased production in May.

McClendon said she had no idea about her daughter’s television debut until it was too late.

“This show was undoubtedly watched by sexual deviants, perverts and pedophiles alike,” McClendon contends in the suit, filed in federal court last week.

She’s seeking $3 million in damages from Banks, her producers and Warner Bros. Entertainment.

McClendon’s complaint asserts the teen’s right to privacy was violated. She seeks an injunction against any future airings of the program, which still appears in repeats on the CW network. SOURCE

Our friends at PopEater got to sit down with Tyra and talk to her about the new season. Here’s what she had to say:

Top Model was one of the first times we saw plus-size models treated equally, now it’s a trend. Do you feel responsible?
Tyra: I am actually really, really happy. When I pitched the idea of ‘Top Model’ to the network, I said I have to have plus sized models and that was a different time, so they were like, “eh whatever”. Now to see V magazine and Glamour and Chanel and Marc Jacobs embracing it. It’s great. The thing is we have to make sure it isn’t just a trend. Women’s bodies come in so many different sizes, I am hoping it is not a trend and we can continue the different looks.

Beyoncé is of course a multi-award winning artists who rarely falls into the traps of the media or into petty celeb dramas. She’s soft spoken and can appear timid, but she blends into any situation well.

From the exterior Halle Berry has excelled in all aspects of life. This analytical personality type appears to have finely tuned her path to glory as one of the world’s most desired women and sought-after celebrity figures. She may even dazzle the cover of Vogue‘s September issue.

Tyra Banks has recently resigned with her former agency IMG, but it looks like she’s still being bitten by the modeling bug.

Three months after designer Alexander McQueen’s death, Banks has paid tribute to him in a photo shoot fit for royalty.

She says, “When I heard of Alexander (Lee as he was called by his friends) McQueen’s passing back in February I was devastated. Not only was he one of my favorite designers, he was someone that I had been lucky enough to meet and was a wonderful human being…I knew that I had to pay him tribute in a special way. I feel like a queen whenever I wear his clothes (especially the stunning blue dress I wore for this shoot)!  McQueen had a flare for the dramatic and a love for fantasy. I want to think that he would have loved these photos.”
