Aside from starring in “Braxton Family Value,” Toni Braxton is keeping us interested with new music for the clubs! Toni released “I Heart You,” an upbeat track she hopes gives you a good feeling while your dancing!

“When I wrote this song I was thinking about the feeling you get when you walk into a club and you hear the melody..you feel the beat and you just know it’s going to be a good night,” said Toni.

A recent article from US Weekly, led us to believe that Eddie Murphy and Toni Braxton were dating. According to their sources, the two were “seeing each other and very into it.” Eddie Murphy spoke out to Page Six , saying: “Toni Braxton & I are just friends. I went to her show & we’re friends & she’s a very, very sweet girl but we’re just friends.”

"He Put That Ring On It, & Then I Put That Thang On It"- Tamar "BFV"

Marriage problems. Those two words pretty much sum up last night’s entire episode of “Braxton Family Values”. Ironically, Tamar and Vince head to Chicago to speak at a relationship seminar, but argue the whole way there. They both get on each other’s nerves as Vince tells Tamar that they’re moving in a few weeks which leaves Tamar in a frenzy with no time to plan…well..anything. Vince tells Tamar to let him handle everything and not to worry about it. “He’s in the dog house,” Tamar tells cameras.

Back in Atlanta, Trina and her band go out for a couple drinks but with Trina, a couple drinks always turns into a drunken night. Trina feels like she’s had one too many, and decides to get a hotel room for the night, so she doesn’t have to drive home drunk and risk getting another DUI. I guess calling her husband, Gabe, was out of the question because when she returned home the next morning, there was Gabe sitting at the kitchen table waiting for her to return. He questioned her whereabouts (like any normal husband would) and Trina snaps back at him like he had no business asking her those rediculous questions. This marriage needs serious help!

Trina and Tamar aren’t the only ones going through problems with their men, Towanda and Andre are still rocky and now that Trina has asked Towanda to move out of her house, things are even more shaky. Towanda has enough money to put a down payment on a new house and Andre asks Towanda if he can move back in with her and the kids. “If I move back in, are we going to go back to making love regularly?” Andre asks Towanda on their coffee date. Was I the only one a little grossed out by that question? Towanda wants Andre to go to therapy and suggests that he go and live with his grandmother until he gets some help. Lord have mercy.. this is a mess!

Back in Chicago, Tamar and Vince are getting ready for their speaking engagement which turns out to be at a speed dating event. They talk about how important it is to build a foundation in a relationship and how blessed they are to be in each other’s lives. It’s at this moment that we finally see the softer side to Tamar, and see just why they fell in love with each other in the first place. Tamar then gives the quote of the night to all the ladies out there, “Ladies, if you’re on your 8th date and he’s trying to sleep with you, he is not the one. When he out that ring on it, then I put that thang on it!” Amen sista! At least one of the sister’s is having a great marriage.

Trina and Gabe go visit Dr. Sherry in hopes that she can fix their relationship. We learn that Gabe has still been communicating with other females in an inappropriate manner through social networks and embarrassing Trina. You can see in Trina’s face that she’s had enough, and she doesn’t even wear her wedding ring again. The couple agree to try one last time to make things work, with Gabe moving out of their bedroom and into the guest room. Hopefully this time they’ll fix everything.

The episode ends with Towanda moving into her new home and the sisters and Mama Ev visiting for the first time. They notice that Towanda’s closest is a “his and her” closet, meaning that she’s allowed Andre to move in with her and give their relationship another try. “I mean, he IS the father of my children” Towanda tells cameras. Hey, no shade being thrown here!

We were introduced to Towanda Braxton via “Braxton Family Values,” a reality show showcasing songstress Toni Braxton and her four sisters who have proven to be closer than a tight knitted scarf. Trina, Towanda, Tamar, Toni and Tracey, let us into their lives filled of real world problems such as: relationship woes, family issues and the hunger for stardom. Each sister is different and as we have come to see, Towanda is the peacemaker between all the ladies.

We spoke to the wife and mother of two about her troubled marriage, sister Toni’s health and some girly hair care tips we can file in our “good to know” box!

HB: How’s your family doing? last time we checked you were living with Trina.
We’re still out to lunch. It’s like I’m still trying to figure it out with Andre. The basis of it all is that we are trying to be here for our children because that’s what matters. Our lives don’t matter anymore what matters is the welfare of children, so we are trying to figure it out for them.

HB: Has your sister Trina’s relationship improved in your eyes?
They are definitely communicating better, I think one time I said even on the show that when you have a another family in your household it forces you to use your words and talk to each other and not at each other. They were arguing at each other. I guess by me and my family being there it did kind of help their relationship.

HB: What advice do you give to another woman who is in the same position as you and your husband?
I usually say if its fixable than try to fix it. You have to try and exasperate all of your options. That’s what I’m trying to do and I’m the type of person that doesn’t like to give up and marriage isn’t easy! Unless he’s beating your head in, it’s fixable and it depends on what your breaking point is. Some women’s breaking point is cheating… My breaking point is someone bashing my head in. You ain’t gon’ bash me in my head!

HB: You come across as the peacemaker, which sister is the hardest to deal with?
T-A-M-A-R…she is the baby, we have spoiled her rotten and we’ve allowed her to get away with so much. and now we’re like wait a minute, we have children we cant do this anymore, our children are watching. Now it’s time for everyone to set boundaries.

HB: Tamar & Vince are getting their own show, your feelings about it?
Im excited for Tamar and Vince, I can’t wait to see it because it’s going to be a different dynamic. Tamar is one way with her sisters and another way with Vince. So I think it’s another side of her everyone will see. She’s a bit shy as-a-matter-of -fact when she meets other people. Around us she can be herself but around other people she’s a little shy.

HB: Is Vince doing OK? he was reportedly sick…
He’s good, he’s at home now!

HB: How’s Toni doing? she was recently admitted into the hospital.
She’s good, whenever she has a small flare she likes to go to the hospital get some tests and it’s good to do that before she gets a full flare-up. Lupus attacks anything, it makes you fatigue. This is how she describes it ‘It’s like having the worst flu of your life,’ your body aches, you can’t get out of bed, you don’t want to do anything. That’s basically how it is with a full flare-up.

HB: What was your reaction when you first found out about her Lupus?
Since I was working with Toni, I was kind of privy to a lot of little things. My thing was, of course I was sad, I tried to look at the silver lining, like at least it isn’t attacking your main organs like your heart meaning that she could have a heart-attack at anytime.

Since you’ve been liberated of your personal assistant duties, how has life been?
I don’t know quite how to act! All this time on my hands. I’ve been doing acting clases with Terry Vaughn. I went on an audition and I got the part! To be honest, i don’t know about this part though. It’s in a play. I think in a few years I will have an Emmy award and an Oscar!

HB: Growing up, what was one thing you mother always taught you?
That there’s no one greater than you than god!

HB: How do you maintain your tresses?
I caught a lot of flack for wearing pig tails, let’s be honest first season you don’t get a huge budget so you kind of have to figure it out yourself. I use a lot of mousse and black gel, the pro gel– keep them edges down. I wear weaves, lots of weaves…underneath I’m natural. I was always the girl that never wanted to go natural, My hair is very soft and fine so I have to be careful how much heat I put on my hair. Weaves are great for me all of my hair is braiding underneath.

Toni Braxton has been admitted to the hospital. Toni who has been battling several illnesses over the past few years had a scare and checked herself into the hospital. Our friends over at hiphollywood.com, is reporting that while in LA at an intimate dinner with the ladies from “Braxton Family Values” Toni was missing.

The family told them that Toni had a set back with her fight against Lupus and had admitted herself to the hospital. Towanda tells us, “everyone knows she had lupus, she had a minor scare and she just went to the hospital to run tests and make sure she was ok…”

We hope Toni gets better soon.

Toni Braxton and her sisters are about to get a step-dad. A source close to the family told Sister 2 Sister that family matriarch, Evelyn Braxton, will be tying the knot again in February.

The matriarch of the family Evelyn, is getting married in February. This season, mama Ev was set up with a man nearly half her age. It seems she has finally found the real deal. The source also reveals that Evelyn plans to look fabulous for her upcoming nuptials.

“She will be working out at the gym to be over-the-top fabulous,” said the source, who described Evelyn as “excited.” The mother of six was previously married to her children’s father, a pastor who was unfaithful to her and is now remarried. No word yet on who the lucky man is, but it’s possible his identity may be revealed on the current season of the show.

Toni Braxton recently revealed that she is dating a white man for the first time, and says that she is enjoying “playing in the snow.” The singer & reality star who said she only dated black men said that she has decided to branch out into other races.

When asked by Anderson Cooper whether she is dating anyone, Toni replied:

“No. Sprinkles. Sprinkles of dating. I’m beginning to play in the snow a bit.”

When Anderson asked her to explain what she meant by the comment, Toni explained:

“Play in the snow? You’ve never heard of that. It means he’s Caucasian. I’ve never played in the snow before.”

You can be sure there will be some drama in the Braxton household when “Braxton Family Values” returns next month. According to Page Six, Toni has fired her manager/brother-in-law, Vince Herbert. Vince is married to Toni’s sister, Tamar.

Here’s what I found out:

Toni Braxton has fired her longtime manager Vince Herbert, who is married to her sister, Tamar Braxton. Herbert has also managed Lady Gaga and produced music for Destiny’s Child. Tension has been a theme in their WE tv show, “Braxton Family Values.” A source told us that Toni “won’t be anywhere near Tamar. This has caused more family problems.” Toni’s rep confirmed that she’s no longer working with Herbert but, “Has a great personal and professional relationship with Vince….adding the Braxtons were, “Still very close.”

Can you say drama.com!!!

On on another note, Vincent was hospitalized over the weekend in serious condition. He was admitted to a New York hospital after experiencing breathing difficulties. The source said Herbert was being treated for a blood clot in his lungs.

After flirting on camera, the two hooked up and went on a few dates when Terrance was in LA filming a movie.

Toni Braxton recently revealed to her family that she IS going to pose nude for ‘Playboy’ magazine. Her family goes back and forth with her decision with no backing from her mom:

“I think a lot of men will have problems with that,” her mother told her. She went on to explain in a confessional that “No man wants his wife, his girlfriend, or his potential wife or girlfriend to be naked in front of other men.”

After a little bit of arguing back and forth, Toni finally shut it down. “I’m Toni Braxton, b****,” she declared, “I don’t care what other people think. It’s about what I think about myself.”

“Braxton Family Values” has been renewed for a second season after having aired only four episodes from the first season.

Toni Braxton’s life may be in danger. Toni was scheduled to perform a Mother’s Day concert in Trinidad but was asked to pull out by one of the concert promoters who had threats made against his life. According to freddyo.com, who is close with Toni’s sister Tamar, Toni not only fears for her life, but she doesn’t want to be mixed up in the cross fire between the promoters. Toni is so worried that she has pulled out of the show and forfeited her check.

In support of the new TV show, “Braxton Family Values,” Toni Braxton and her sisters: Traci, Towanda, Tamar and Trina grace the cover of this month’s issue of “Kontrol Magazine”. The issue that the sister’s are covering is extremely special simply because it’s magazine’s two year anniversary in publication.

According to Necolebitchie.com, the CEO of the magazine was asked why he chose the Braxton sisters as the cover feature for his second year anniversary. He stated: “Art is a witness to truth. The Art Issue is a representation of the art of music from Gospel to R&B. This issue personifies who we are at Kontrol—beauty, fashion, lifestyle and entertainment. This issue marks the second anniversary of Kontrol and what better way to show that we are a permanent fixture in the evolving entertainment realm than with music icons such as the Braxtons and Mary Mary.”

Singer Toni Braxton recently sat down with Wendy Williams and told her she’s considering baring it all and posing nude for Playboy.Toni revealed she’s worried about doing the spread because of her two sons and is concerned that their friends and parents would end up seeing the photos. Wendy chimes in and tells Toni not to pose for Playboy because she is so beyond that in her career!

Toni Braxton was one of the most successful female R&B singers of the ’90s, thanks to her versatility and resilience. Her music was soulful and smooth enough for the grown and sexy but also sultry and sassy enough for younger audiences as well. It also helped that she’s a triple threat with phenomenal beauty and a killer since of style and stage presence.

Turning heads on read carpets was her forte as a result of bold wardrobe choices, and her performances became water cooler chatter for days. Even when the chips are down, Toni Braxton knows how to keep herself relevant. Now, on the brink of her new reality TV show, Braxton Family Values (which premieres April 12 on WE), we take a look back at Toni Braxton’s best 9 performances and reminisce the magic she made while anticipating what’s to come.

1. Toni Braxton and Trey Songz Perform “Yesterday” at 2009 Soul Train Music Awards

Toni Braxton is known for surprises but no one expected her to kiss Trey Songz at the 2009 Soul Train Music Awards. The 43-year-old MILF-turned-cougar, and the 25-year-old R&B crooner engaged in a steamy lip lock as they wrapped their performance of their smash duet, “Yesterday.” For those who didn’t get the memo, Toni is still giving the young girls a run for their money.

2. “Unbreak My Heart” at Arista’s 25th Anniversary Celebration (1999)

Toni Braxton teamed up with producer David Foster and performed “Unbreak My Heart” at Arista’s 25th Anniversary celebration. Foster played the Spanish guitar, plucking the song’s signature riffs while Miss Braxton showcased her signature contralto voice on the classic Billboard all-time favorite.

3. Medley at the NBA’s 56th All Star Game (2007)

Toni Braxton appropriately performed a Vegas-style medley of some of her most popular songs at the 2007 NBA All Star Game, which took place in, of course, Sin City. Her name was up in lights and she first wore a flaminco style dress but stripped down to a saucy, skimpy stringy mini dress and sashayed across the stage. Enough said.

4. BET 20th Anniversary (2000)

When BET turned 20, Toni Braxton was front and center stage, and performed “He Wasn’t Man Enough.” She first appeared in a vinyl trench coat but before the song was over she removed the jacket and revealed a short stringy metallic dress. Her show was capped off the show with a steamy dance routine.

5. Stevie Wonder Tribute on BET (2006)

Stevie Wonder paved the way for several artists in the game so it was only right that Toni Braxton, an icon in her own right, serenaded the genius with his classic ballad, “Overjoyed.” Braxton is usually known for dramatics but this time she appropriately kept it simple and classy by sitting on a stool and belting her heart out. She looked stunning in a lime green satin dress.

6. The George Lopez Show (2010)

Toni Braxton made yet another come back on The George Lopez Show last year. The veteran diva performed the sultry “Hands Tied” while sporting an edgy honey blonde short hair cut and a form fitting dress. Think of that performance as a warning shot to let all the young divas know who did it first.

7. Aida (2003)

Transitioning to Broadway for most R&B singers is no easy fete but Toni Braxton tackled it with ease. However, that doesn’t hold true for Toni Braxton. She showed that she was a triple threat a few years earlier when she made her Broadway debut as Bell in Beauty and the Beast but by the time Aida came around, she staked her claim as a force to be reckoned with in all aspects of theater and performing arts by belting out difficult ballads beautifully.

8. Tribute to Elvis – Sounds and Visions (On Fox, 1997)

The R&B songstress once again showed her versatility in a tribute to Elvis, which aired on Fox. Her version of “Love Me Tender” was sweet and soulful but even Elvis supporters couldn’t hate.

9. Regis & Kelly (2005)

Toni Braxton performed “Please” on a 2005 episode of Live With Regis & Kelly, proving that she was the queen of resilience. At that time, she was in the midst of another triumphant comeback.

Toni Braxton is the latest celebrity to get a reality TV show. She will appear in “Braxton Family Values,” a show that follows her four sisters, Traci, Towanda, Trina and Tamar, as they break into show business.

All the women are aspiring singers. And the show will appear on the WE network starting in April.

The dynamic of four women trying to follow the 43-year-old Braxton into show business – with varying levels of success – appealed to WE executives. The network’s research indicated that programs about families, often with a humorous touch, is a niche worth exploring. SOURCE
