The most important thing basketball fans will keep an eye on as the NBA’s March 15 trade deadline draws near is what the Orlando Magic will do with their franchise player. The team will either have to trade him by that date or run the high risk of losing him with no return come free agency this summer.

Consider this a case of Carmelo 2.0.

To Carmelo’s credit, at least he remained adamant that he only wanted to play for the New York Knicks. For better or for worse, Melo stood on that point and never shied away from his demands. It’s been far from a holy matrimony this season for Melo, Amar’e, and the Knicks, but hey…that’s the life he chose. He’ll deal with it.

“It’s no secret that the relationships between Royce and almost all the other women on the show have unraveled to the point of non-existence,” VH1’s posted on it’s blog. ” . . . And she didn’t appear in several episodes from season three.” Still, it looks like she’s returning anyway.

Last month, Evelyn Lozada also claimed she was not coming back for another season, and the show producers are planning to add a few names to the cast for season 4, so Reed’s exit may not be a major issue for the show.

Jen wrote a blog for HollywoodLife about Monday night’s reunion episode and cleared up details about the infamous drink-throwing incident, her dating life, and Meeka & Royce’s “irrelevancy.”

On Royce:
Let me just get this topic out the way! Royce is irrelevant! I refuse to waste another ounce of breath on her. She just doesn’t get it! Royce is always starting some drama and I am at a point in my life where I am trying to get rid of drama and any negative influences. It boils down to myself, Shaunie and Evelyn not wanting to film with her because she is so full of drama. Other than her “movie role” with Eric, she doesn’t have much of a story line. I am certain she doesn’t want to talk about her new boyfriend that just had a baby with another woman while we were filming and we all know Dwight Howard has a gag order on her! Ok moving on…

On Meeka:
As far as Meeka goes she just needs to shut the hell up! Her mouth is what got her in trouble in the first place. She claims she doesn’t want to be in “the circle” but isn’t that the very reason she came on the show? She should start thinking and choose her words more carefully so she can stop putting her foot in her mouth!

On Eric’s drink-throwing incident:
The incident with Eric is very unfortunate, however it was just a firm confirmation that I am moving in the right direction. Everyone wants to say, “Well I would have done this or what took you so long?” No one can really say what he or she is going to do and/or react until they are in your shoes. I feel Eric ended our relationship with a coward move. Yes, yes I did throw a drink first. I was frustrated our discussion didn’t resolve anything about our impending divorce but I never hit him with the drink nor did I intend to hit him with the drink. The manner and forcefulness in which he threw that drink at me, not to mention hit my chin surprised the hell out of me! Again, another negative aspect and chapter of my life I am ready to close. I could have retaliated and threw a chair or flipped a table but I prefer to bow out gracefully.

On dating:
Closing one chapter and opening up another one, DATING!!!! I am having fun dating. Will and I had fun at my divorce/independence party but that is where it started and ended. He is a friend, nothing more. I don’t have a boyfriend at the moment. My main priority is business and myself! I am focusing most of my attention on my new lip gloss line, Lucid Cosmetics available at www.lucidcosmetics.com. But a girl deserves to play a little bit and go on a few dates.

How do you respond to Royce saying the show depicts Black Women negatively?
It’s hard for me hear somebody not take responsibility for what they say and do on camera. This is part of the reason why I didn’t really film with her.  But I don’t know that it’s depicting black women in a negative way, I do think that it’s highlighting the negative parts of certain black women’s personalities and lifestyle choices.  And that’s a battle that I fight, and constantly bring up in media and to the network to say ‘hey, all the good stuff we do, the conversations we have when everybody’s not calling each other the b-word, or the philanthropy that we do, can we at least show that so we can see the balance?’ It’s not a disagree or agree with Royce. I’m hoping that this part of Royce is her sitting back after seeing herself realizing her behavior is not okay.  ‘I’ve watched season one, I had a fight this season again, last season on the reunion I got up and slapped my ass, and cussed like a sailor.’ I’m hoping that this new Royce saying the show isn’t presenting us in a positive light has realized ‘what I’ve been portraying, is not okay, I’m not proud of it and I’m gonna change.’ I’m hoping that is it but I don’t know.

How much power do you actually have as an Executive Producer?  Are you able to edit yourself to appear better on the show?
We have many producers on our show. Being a cast member and a producer is a hard line to draw in the sand. I have to be a cast member, but also take my hands off of things and allow the rest of the production team to do their job.  At the end of the day–yes, I see all of the episodes before they air and I see it during the editing process.  I think they do now respect that I’ve been very vocal and I’ve taken it to another level as a opposed to us being behind closed doors and talking about it.  I’ve said out in public, listen ‘I am trying, behind closed doors, I’m trying.’ I’m just overruled. If there’s six of us at a table and five of them are voting, ‘no let’s put it in,’ and you got the one voice that’s saying ‘please don’t’– the voting is done.

So you don’t have the power to edit out unflattering scenes of yourself as Royce alluded to?
No, there are no scenes of that [behavior], that’s what it is.  In season two, Gloria and I got in to an argument.  That was nothing I was proud of.  It did happen, that was real, those things came out of my mouth, that issue did occur, of course there are bits and pieces you guys missed due to editing, but if I was out here just to make myself look pretty, I would have loved to delete that whole scene and you guys [would have] never seen it. But it was real and it happened.  It’s just nothing that happens on my every day life.  I don’t go around cussing out people and having arguments, it’s just not me.  It’s not that ‘oh they show Shaunie in a positive light’, I don’t do that! I don’t sit up in a restaurant talking about ‘oh, I almost got you and next time I’m not gonna miss’ and telling you to ‘kiss my ass as I walk away,’ and slap it.  That’s not me. So it’s not that I paint a pretty picture of myself, it’s not there to be painted any other way.

What can we expect to change on the show in the future?
We  just recently had a talk about going into season four, I’m like listen, we have got to do something different. We’ve got to get some real highlights of some real business women, some real moms, some real friends, etc. And I think that we will do a better job at showing that this [next] season, cause even I got tired of the arguing and fighting. I wasn’t in Miami a whole lot to film season three, so I wasn’t there a lot of times when things were going down. But afterwards I’m like ‘are you kidding me?’ Not again!

HB: Do you feel you portray a positive image for young women as a role model?

I try but I’m not perfect. I’m very driven & ambitious. I’m constantly building & trying to further my career. As far as portraying myself as a positive role model, I’m getting there. I believe with all my career moves I will be able to say that more strongly in the coming year.

HB: Do you aspire to be a role model for young women?

I aspire to be true to myself and a good mom first. Within that, the role model “role” may come. I speak to young girls a lot and although they know me from being on “Basketball Wives” the first thing I list is my resume. I don’t want young ladies aspiring to be a basketball wife, ex, etc. I want them to aspire to reach their own goals and dreams and if it’s in their cards a good man, whether he’s an athlete, Doctor, Lawyer, Blue Collar, etc will come. Take care of you first, it’s far more attractive to be known by your own name, than someone else’s.

HB: Describe your fashion sense…

What fashion sense? [Laughs] I’ve never been into fashion because growing up & all through college I was either at gymnastics, cheer practice, dance rehearsal, or track practice. I never really had time to get into fashion. Some of the stuff I see people wearing is ugly to me. I look at some clothes people wear and say “Oh, wait till your kids get older and see these pictures 20 years from now.” Let’s face it, jeans never get old but on the flip side, I’ve gotten to the point where I believe no matter what I wear people are going to hate it so why not give them something to talk about…Hence the car dealership with the high socks & sneakers!

HB: Why do you have so much hatred for Evelyn Lozada is there something we aren’t seeing behind the scenes?

I don’t hate Evelyn. I may not like her at the present moment but it would take a lot for me to hate someone. Now she may feel differently but hate is too strong of a word to describe my feelings towards her.

HB: As a black women do you think Basketball Wives portrays black women in a negative manner?

I’m on the show and I definitely feel that way! That’s another reason I keep signing on. Although I am not perfect and I did fight in self-defense on National TV, I feel I try as much as I can to bring some sort of intelligence. I have a college degree, graduated from FAMU an HBCU and I’m expanding my career. I wish the show portrayed more of our business sides and career moves than just Shaunie’s because it seems as if she is the only one doing something which is FAR from the truth!

HB: As a woman would you mind if a friend was tweeting your ex-husband like you do to Eric Williams?

My friends talk to my ex/exes all the time. It doesn’t bother me & honestly it helped mend the awkwardness and bitterness we may have had towards one another. In order for a man to be in my life, my family and friends have to like them, otherwise it won’t work. I spend a lot of time with my family and friends so if there’s no love it’s uncomfortable. I trust my friends and my family so it was never a negative feeling towards them remaining cool.

“Royce is back. But truthfully I don’t really deal with her this season. After her behavior at the reunion show, I realized she wasn’t someone I wanted to give my time to. I think the rest of the girls and I have realized that Royce is the type of woman that constantly has to have some sort of drama going on, so we’ve come to expect it. She’s involved in some drama now, with Jen over the leaking of Royce’s pictures. So I try not to deal with her.”

NBA’s Dwight Howard Wants Royce Reed To Pay Him $500 Million

Well guess what? Royce never paid up (I mean I highly doubt she makes that much money appearing on “Basketball Wives”). According to TMZ, Howard claims Reed now owes him $551,606.74 — which includes interest. So Howard has filed papers with a California court, which could give Howard the right to go after Reed’s assets in Cali.

Shaunie addressed many rumors that had been circulating about cast members of the show, next season, and even spoke a little bit on her ex-hubby Shaq, and his new GF, Hoopz.

When asked about Royce, Shaunie stated that she causes a lot of drama on the reunion special, however, that she will be returning to the cast next season, despite rumors that she was not. When asked about Evelyn, Shaunie said that they have been besties for years and that she did not know about the relationship Evelyn had with Tami’s ex until the dinner occured which we all saw on last week’s episode. She also mentioned that she was not sure if Evelyn and Ochocino were in the works of getting their own reality show. When asked about Suzie and Gloria, Shaunie stated that neither of them will be featured on the reunion and Suzie would not be returning to the next season. However, despite her ill feelings toward Gloria, she would allow her to return to next season’s show if she wanted to. When asked about Shaq and Hoopz, Shaunie stated that she does not discuss her and Shaq’s relationship and seemed to avoid the question.

She said the release date for her book “College Girls” is next Sunday. The book is loosely based on her life and her friends life in college and the parts of college life that isn’t discussed like campus rapes and STD scares.

Royce is scheduled to be in a play called “Cheaters” written by Dennis Reed which is slated for a 14 city tour and a non-profit organization called “Dance to Live” which fights against childhood obesity.

TMZ obtained the legal docs filed by the Orlando Magic Royce leaked dirt about him to the media at least 11 times (which means she violated a 2009 gag order).

In the docs, Howard explains that if the leaked stories reached 1,000,000 people — a safe estimate given that the stories were posted all over the Internet — the damages should add up to $500,500,000 based on the terms of their previous agreement.

I think Dwight may have a little too much free time on his hands!

Things are starting to getting uglier by the minute between Dwight Howard and his baby mama “Basketball Wives’” Royce Reed. Royce recently called the cops on Dwight after he picked up their son up from daycare outside of their agreed schedule and now want the courts to make his visits with the child supervised.

According to tmz.com:

NBA superstar Dwight Howard’s baby mama wants someone to watch over him whenever Dwight is with their 2-year old son, according to new court documents.

TMZ obtained a copy of Royce Reed’s motion — filed in Orange County, Florida yesterday — in which she claims the Orlando Magic star regularly misses scheduled visitations with their son Reed. Royce also alleges that their son “acts out emotionally and physically and resists being taken by” Dwight’s nanny … according to the docs.

As TMZ first reported, cops were called in two weeks ago when Royce claimed that Dwight picked up little Reed from preschool when he wasn’t supposed to do so.

Royce is asking the court to appoint a guardian — on Dwight’s dime — to ensure Dwight follows the visitation schedule and Reed gets proper care. Royce’s rep says the motion was filed, “as a last resort.”

Dwight’s reps have not returned their calls.

These two need to get a grip…”Basketball Wives” Royce Reed and her baby daddy NBA’s Dwight Howard are still going at it over their son. Apparently, there was some mix up over custody and visitation that ended up with the cops getting called.

Here’s what went down:

NBA star Dwight Howard got schooled by cops after removing his child from day care. Howard who is in an ongoing custody war with baby mama Royce Reed went to pick up their 2-year-old son. Reed, flipped out and called the cops because she claimed the custody agreement didn’t give Howard the right to pick the child up that day.

Reed showed up at the day care center for a showdown, but Howard had already left with the kid.

The cops called Howard … and the NBA star explained he and his ex made a new agreement … giving him the right to cart his kid away that day. But … after speaking with lawyers from both sides, the cops handed down their verdict — a new custody agreement was discussed but never signed.

The cops ordered Howard to return the child to the day care center, stat. Howard’s nanny took the boy back to school and Reed took him home.

Poor kid!!!

“Basketball” ‘wife,’Royce Reed, was a “victim” of twitter hacking last night when her account (@roycelr) was taken over, putting her relationship with Dwight Howard on blast.

As you know, Royce is banned from mentioning Howard’s name on television, her twitter account, in interviews etc,etc!!!

Within seconds of these tweets hitting Royce’s account, they were erased and Royce’s brother tweeted the following:

Former “I Want to Work For Diddy” contestant Poprah and “Basketball Wives” star Royce Reed had it out on Twitter and via a phone interview with Club Cafe Radio last night.

Club Cafe Radio wrote:

We had these two ladies on our show tonight, and when Poprah thought that Royce was going to be on the show WITH her she started going HAM via twitter (Initially, we were planning to interview them separately). Once we got them on the phone they both went HAM! You can also check their Twitter timelines to see how the drama began and carried over well after the interview was over.

I recently told you about Dwight Howards’ baby mama Royce Reed and their drama… A 2009 injunction barred Royce from using Howard’s name in public after she allegedly called him out on Twitter and on television. In December, the NBA star sued his former lover for defamation.

Well the legal issues are not preventing Reed from having a good time during Super Bowl week. Royce was caught on tape dancing, shaking and getting it in at a party held by Terrell Owens and Ludacris.
