Chris Brown‘s relationship with Karrueche has been the talk of the town since before we even knew who she was. Rihanna’s Navy of followers roasted and even threatened the model via Twitter, causing a bit of a back and forth subliminal war between the two girls. Whether or not Karrueche and Chris’ photos are meant to get a rise out of Rihanna, we’ll never know, but to me, they do feel like jabs to Chris’ old flame.

Chris Brown and Rihanna seemed like they were on the road to the recovering their mangled friendship and ex-relationship but that effort came to an end when Brezzy dissed his ex on “Mercy.”

The two stopped following one another on Twitter despite recording a record, a remix to “Birthday Cake,” weeks before. The sudden halt made people wonder what was going on behind-the-scenes and how Chris’s girlfriend Karrueche felt about all of this.

“Chris was not willing to end his relationship with Karrueche, even though he made Rihanna believe that he was still madly in love with her,” reports Hollywood Life from an unnamed source. “Chris is the one who initially reached out to Rihanna begging for her forgiveness. He was incredibly sweet to Rihanna at the beginning, telling her how much he missed her, how Karrueche could not even compare to her, how he wanted to make things work.”

The source goes on to say that Rihanna would have gone back to Chris but he wanted to have his cake and eat it too! Once Rihanna made it clear she wouldn’t stand to be his side chick, Chris dissed her!

Rihanna’s stylist is very important. How important? In February 2012, after a day of swimming in Los Angeles, the R&B superstar found herself with a “hair emergency.” Conditioner couldn’t cut through her matted locks, so Rihanna flew all the way to London for a session with hairstylist Ursula Stephens, the only person she’d trust with the job. The whole episode reportedly cost the Bajan beauty $23,000, but Stephens sorted her out in time for her appearance on “The Jonathan Ross Show.”

Stephens has been Rihanna’s hairstylist for some time, and the singer has kept her busy. Between November 2010, when she dyed her hair bright red, and August 2011, Rihanna changed hair color 13 times. During that stretch, she paid Stephens nearly $23,000 per week, according to various sources. Ursula Stephens commands $3,300 per day, and given that she’s responsible for RiRi’s iconic choppy haircut, she may well be worth every penny.

Credit for the singer’s memorable looks must also be given to Rihanna’s clothing stylists. For her 2011 Loud Tour, stylist Mel Ottenberg dressed the pop star in an “encrusted bikini, denim bra, and remarkably skimpy metallic romper,” according to New York Magazine. Ottenberg’s work on the tour led to speculation that Rihanna had cut ties with longtime stylist Mariel Haenn. Alongside partner Rob Zangardi, Haenn styled Rihanna’s “Umbrella” video in 2007 and helped the songstress pick gowns for the red carpet.

Other photos revealed a mass of white powder on the security guard’s head, leading to speculation Rihanna was using cocaine. “I’m crazy, and I don’t pretend to be anything else,” she tweeted. Rihanna on “Battleship” Role: “I Felt Like The Ultimate Bad Ass!” [EXCLUSIVE]

This weekend promises to be the clash of the summer blockbusters. After raking in $1 billion at the box office, The Avengers gets some competition with the sci-fi spectacle, Battleship. Based on the Milton Bradley board game, Battleship is a war of the worlds between the U.S. Navy and an alien race, The Regents, out to plunder the planet’s natural resources.

Rihanna stars as Raikes, a smart-mouthed naval officer who joins in the fight to save humanity. The Urban Daily caught up with the edgy pop star to find out what she loved most about her role, if she actually believes in aliens, and what the future holds for her in Hollywood.

TUD: What will you miss most about playing your character?

The guns. The weapons. That was my favorite part of shooting. I had a great time. I felt like the ultimate bad-ass, and I would have never had those experiences, had it not been for shooting this film. So that was definitely fun to play that.

In one scene, your character does a little bit of singing. Was that written in the script or was it something you did on the fly?

A lot of the dialogue and the in between things like that, the singing, really were spur of the moment. Pete Berg (the director) made us do so much nonsense, like the Kentucky Fried Chicken – he bought like a chicken. It was awful. He makes you do the craziest things. And you just never mind what he’s gonna keep. So you just have to kind of keep your fingers crossed.

How would you handle a real life alien invasion? Would you be as courageous as Raikes?

The exact same. No, I mean, who knows. I might have jumped ship. That’s some intense stuff. Me see an alien? I don’t know what I, what would be my first instinct.

Do you think your music will take a backseat to your acting career?

I don’t think music could ever be on hold for me, because it’s something that I love to do. Even if there’s not a deadline or a specific project, I will always feel empty not making music. I will always get that bug and – even right now, I’m still going a little crazy. Like, I can’t wait to go in the studio, just to play and play around with songs. And I can do that, because that, it doesn’t become work for me. So I am gonna make time to do some more films. I really liked my first experience with Battleship, so I’m looking forward to doing more. But I can’t say goodbye to music.

Do you actually think there’s intelligent life in outer space? If yes, do you think they’d peaceful or more hostile as portrayed in the movie?

Yeah, I’m still very open on that matter. I’m not really sure, because I haven’t done enough research to really say how I feel. But – who knows. I would like to know.

Rihanna‘s Instagram is pretty much a form of entertainment for me. I know I’m not alone. Her latest photo was of a woman’s hand. A few bracelets and rings that Rihanna would wear, but this hand was a few shades darker than Rihanna’s caramel complexion. And being that her tweet labeled the person her “fav,” I’m going to step out on a limb and say that Rihanna’s Ride or Die BFF Melissa‘s bejeweled hand. And now I have a few questions about this photo:

1. Was Rihanna in bed with her “fav” when she snapped this photo?

2. Is this Rihanna’s way of dispelling the J.R. Smith rumors?

Rihanna loves herself a rude boy. She’s a bad girl that needs someone equally as bad to keep her interested. This time around, Rihanna’s sinking her claws in to New York Knicks player, J.R. Smith. Since Rihanna’s ex Chris Brown has publicly embarrassed her in his “Theraflu” lyrics and is now giving out rings to his girlfriend Karrueche, Rihanna needed to step her dating game up. Scooping up J.R. Smith is sure to catch Breezy’s attention, but does he care?

Smith’s a known bad boy and here’s the reasons why Rihanna can’t get enough.

1. Girl Fight

As feisty as Rihanna is, she can certainly stand up to the type of woman that J.R. Smith likes. At the beginning of the year, J.R. Smith’s sister got into a fight at a game in China and later his sister at his ex-girlfriend fought fans at another Zhejiang Golden Bulls game. The fight was between J.R.’s Zhejiang squad and the host Tianjin. The conflict erupted after Tianjin fans heckled J.R. Smith as he went to the line late in the third quarter. After what I believe to be Thunderstix were thrown onto the court by a spectator, Smith’s girlfriend got into a shoving match with Tianjin fans while his sister flipped the crowd the double-bird.

2. He’s Got A Record

Being that Rihanna’s about that thug life, she’s more than likely weak in the knees for a convicted killer. Back in 2007, Smith was sentenced to 90 days in jail after causing an auto accident that killed his friend Andre Bell. Smith admitted driving an SUV through a stop sign and colliding with a car in Millstone Township. Smith was driving 67 miles per hour in a spot where the speed limit was 35 mph. Both Smith and Bell were ejected from the vehicle after impact. Bell later died from his injuries, and another passenger in the SUV and a woman driving the car were injured but recovered.

3. Tatted Up

J. R. Smith’s got an affinity for girls with tattoos. Rihanna’s obviously about that life. The two tatted up lovers could spend hours exploring each other’s ink.

Rihanna‘s the music industry’s “It” girl. There’s no question about that. The “Where Have You Been” darling has had her name thrown around in conjunction with legend, Barbra Streisand. Evidently Babs has just been signed to a $30 million dollar with Sony. Along with that deal comes collaborations with younger artists to give Babs some youthful appeal.

Russell Simmons has penned an open letter taking sideways shots at who I think is Chris Brown for dissing ex-girlfriend Rihanna.

Uncle Rush took aim at male rappers who knock Rihanna for “f*ckin’ rockstars” in a blog post cheerfully titled ‘Get Off Rihanna’s D*ck’:

There have been a lot of artists recently talking about “good girl gone bad,” Rihanna.

As far as I’m concerned, I don’t see why everyone has their panties up in a bunch. It’s just that she is out there allegedly f****n’ the rockstars of her dreams and you out there f****n’ groupies.

You can’t be mad that she was seen walking out of Ashton Kutcher’s house late one night, cause you know if you were seen walking out of Adriana Lima’s house late one night, you would be in the studio the next day rapping about it. I mean, you all got like 50 girls in your videos drooling over you and you dissing Rihanna?

I can’t blame a girl for being independent, having fun and living her life the way she wants to. I am certainly not condoning indiscriminate sex, but don’t get mad cause the girl won’t give it to you anymore.

Remember, I was a manager once and I have seen these types of young men on the road. I was with Run-DMC, the Beastie Boys, LL Cool J, Public Enemy, Whoodini and saw all of the girls after the show line up outside the dressing rooms. I mean, Whoodini even wrote a song about, “I Am A Hoe” and went on to rap, “I rock three different girls after every show.” So, I know how this shit works. You all got 10 times as many girls as Rihanna has men, and you know that.

I love you guys, and this certainly ain’t a diss, but I gotta keep it real.

Uncle Rush is RIGHT!! Plain and simple!! Men do this all the time, why can’t women have fun? RiRi is young and is doing what any girl her age would do, it’s just that she’s in the public eye! I just want her to keep it classy!!

Rihanna is finally opening up about her reported meltdown that left her on the verge of a nervous breakdown. RiRi blames her “collapse from exhaustion,” days after performing on SNL, on a grueling schedule for her latest album “Talk That Talk” in a video diary:

”One morning I woke up and started crying so hard. I finally just got to my bed from the IV [drip] and I was just like, ‘Good I can actually get to sleep tonight’ because we stayed up all night’ and I finished [the album] at 5pm the day before.”

”I get in bed and it must have been two hours in before my phone started going off. I was so frustrated I kept ignoring the phone.”

”I know I’m sick but I’m the only person who can get it done so it was so frustrating so I was angry. I was so angry, I was so overwhelmed that I was sick, it felt crazy.”

”I started crying really, really hard in my pillow. It was aggressive. I don’t cry loads. If I cry it’s because I’m very angry and I can’t do anything about it, because I’ve run into a dead end. But this time I needed to hear it, I almost wanted to punch somebody.”

The song comes right on the heels of Rihanna laid up in the hospital bed, connected to an IV. She’s sick and needs “Theraflu,” get it?
