As soon as I heard the word, “guilty,” my heart went out to Dr. Murray. Here’s a man who’s amazing enough at his trade to be brought on as the primary caretaker of one of the biggest superstars of our time as he prepared for his major comeback This Is It tour. Talk about pressures of the job. But in all honesty, he was also the one doctor, out of many, that turned an ethical cheek and accepted Michael’s $150,000 a month offer to score him what he thought money could buy–peace. An exhausted Michael Jackson just wanted to sleep, but insomnia’s grip created an addict. And Dr. Murray was his dealer.

No one is willing to look at the fact that good intentions or not, Michael Jackson was an junkie and his drug of choice happened to be exclusive drugs used specifically as anesthesia–Propofol. It was only a few short years ago, most folks’ fingers were pointed at Michael, calling him all kinds of child molester and Wacko Jacko. His death gained him the respect he’s always deserved, but his life was no different than the many others that we’ve negatively labeled addicts–Amy Winehouse, Marilyn Monroe, Basquiat, Dorothy Dandridge–the list goes on.

Dr. Murray said himself that he should have walked away instead of providing the drugs to Michael and that the King of Pop considered him his one friend. Any doctor or friend should know that it’s always the wrong choice to do something that is detrimental to someone’s life just because it’s what they want and it’s putting a ton of pretty pennies in your back account. It’s a lose/lose and most of the doctors that turned down Michael’s offer knew this.

Dr. Murray also claims that Michael never shared all of his medical history with him. I’ve been to quite a few doctors and each one of them knows my medical history–cover to cover. It’s a requirement. How can you properly treat and/or medicate anyone without proper knowledge of what they’ve already gone through medically? Clearly Dr. Murray knew Michael was plagued with insomnia, but says he didn’t introduce him to the drug that would ultimately take his life.

So where is this mystery doctor that started treating Michael’s sleepless nights with Propofol? By the time Dr. Murray acquired Jackson as a patient, the tragic star was already addicted and referred to the drug as his “milk.” The one thing that keeps chiming up in my head is–what man in his right mind would purposely take Michael Jackson’s life? Clearly, this manslaughter was involuntary–unless Dr. Conrad Murray is some brand new breed of OJ Simpson meets Charles Manson inspired evil.

Dr. Murray allowed Michael to have Propofol nightly to sleep, but tried to wean the star off the anesthesia because he feared that Jackson was becoming an addict, but the damage was already done and Michael used every once of power he had to get his “milk” from Dr. Murray. No matter what happened that day in June in 2009 in the confines of Michael’s bedroom, we know that the pop superstar was not well. Michael wanted peace and seemingly did whatever he could in his power to get it.

Whether Dr. Murray gave Michael his final does of Propofol or if Michael did it himself, Dr. Murray is responsible for administering the drug to Michael at any point because instead of immediately calling 911 when he discovered the lifeless pop legend, Murray wanted to make sure he covered up all evidence of the Propofol and even made other calls before the authorities were summoned a full 82 minutes later. At this point, Dr. Murray was trying his best to cover his unethical approach to treating the tortured artist, but his sketchy practice caught up to him.

The allure of all that promised income can’t be worth where Dr. Murray is now–facing up to four years in prison and losing his medical license. Or maybe it was because Murray’s financial past is peppered with blemishes like unpaid debts, lawsuits, tax liens and unpaid child support that may have been the biggest influence on him taking the job. Even if he wasn’t to lose his practice, no one would hire this man to be their caretaker at this point. Two lives completely over. Dr. Murray will never again be the man he used to be and we’ve lost one of he biggest stars the world has ever known. Rest in peace Michael Jackson. God knows you didn’t live in it.

A source close to the Jackson family tells us that the superstar diva was named in her longtime friend Michael Jackson’s will as guardian of Prince Michael, Paris and Blanket. And even though it was suggested that Ross declined the huge responsibility, that too is bunk, RadarOnline.com has confirmed.

“Diana has made no moves whatsoever not fulfill her role that Michael intended for her,” the source says. “Michael didn’t trust anyone in his family besides, his mother, to raise the children. Michael loved Diana and chose her for a very specific reason,” our source adds.

Katherine Jackson turns 81 on May 4, and it was revealed in court documents recently that she has a live-in caregiver

“Katherine is a very doting, loving grandmother,” the source added. “She just isn’t getting any younger and that is why Michael named a second guardian.”

An informant in Ross’ entourage said the singer of Upside Down and Endless Love hasn’t been involved in the children’s lives, so far.

“She will step in if there’s an immediate need to do so,” the Ross informant said.

TMZ claims that Katherine is furious the estate is pursuing legal action against Michael’s Heal The World Foundation for using his image and likeness without permission and insists, “Michael would be very upset, if he knew that our charity was being torn down by people who say they are doing what he wanted.”

Of Mr. Branca, she doesn’t hold back, saying: “Mr. Branca was a man that my son was very worried about… Michael told me on more than one occasion that he did not like this man and did not trust him, he told me that John had stolen from him… This lawsuit is exactly the type of awful thing that Michael said he was capable of doing.”

The estate aren’t holding back in their response to the claims either, with estate lawyer Howard Weitzman calling her claims “a pathetic attempt to hurt the men who single-handedly … resurrected Michael’s image and fortune.” He goes on to claim that Katherine’s lawsuit “contains many lies.”

In what could be construed as a thinly-veiled threat against Katherine Jackson, Weitzman says, “The Executors have also seen to it that Mrs. Jackson, as Michael wished, continues to live in the style Michael provided for her by paying off the mortgage on Hayvenhurst; renting a palatial home for Mrs. Jackson and the children to live in while Hayvenhurst is being renovated; and paying for all of her and the children’s needs.”

And so they should. Michael’s money should be spent on his children, and considering she looks after his children, then it is only right that her and their needs are taken care of. Maybe, her claims of the executors being untrustworthy has some substance to it after all?

9. The Roots “What They Do”
The Roots’ perfectly skewered the fantasy world of hip-hop music videos in their 1996 clip for “What They Do,” but found themselves at odds with The Notorious B.I.G. who, according to Roots drummer ?uestlove, thought the video was retaliation for a line in his “Flava In Your Ear” remix verse that many perceived to be a dis towards the group. Big Poppa passed before both sides could set the record straight.

8. The Pharcyde “Drop”
Directed by famed video director Spike Jonze, The Pharcyde were able to pull off the backwards “Drop” video by learning the song in reverse, and shooting the video in reverse. Hands down one of the most creative music videos in hip-hop, and one of the first videos we wrote down when putting this list together.

7. The Notorious B.I.G. “One More Chance”
Not since the classic Kid & Play film had a house party been captured on film so well that everyone who watched it wished they had been in attendance. Sporting cameos from everyone from Heavy D & D-Nice to Mary J. Blige and Aaliyah, “One More Chance” was an instant classic.

6. Snoop Doggy Dogg “Doggy Dogg World”
Snoop’s final video from his debut album took everyone back to the 1970s with cameos from The Dramatics, Pam Grier, Rudy Ray Moore, Ron O’Neal, Fred Williamson, Fred “Rerun” Berry and Antonio “Huggy Bear” Fargas. This was definitely another one of those video shoots we wish we had been at.

5. TLC “Waterfalls”
TLC’s special effects heavy video for “Waterfalls” earned the group the 1995 MTV Video Music Award for Video of the Year. The video features cameos from actors Ella Joyce and Bokeem Woodbine plus Wu-Tang affiliate Shyheim.

4. Wu-Tang Clan “Triumph”
Wu-Tang Clan kicked off their second album with the “Triumph” video which featured the clan (and some Wu-Tang killer killah bees) invading New York City.

3. Busta Rhymes “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See”
Director Hype Williams parodied Eddie Murphy’s classic 1988 film Coming To America for Busta’s 1997 video for “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See.” Williams’ unique style of direction became synonymous with music videos in the 1990s.

2. Michael Jackson “Remember The Time”
Boyz N The Hood director John Singleton shot the second video from Michael Jackson’s Dangerous album, “Remember The Time.” The video takes place in ancient Egypt and stars Eddie Murphy and Iman as the pharaoh and his queen. Magic Johnson, Tom “Tiny” Lister, and Imani from The Pharcyde also appear in the video.

1. Missy Elliot “The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)”
Missy Elliot’s reign as queen of weird music videos began with this Hype Williams directed clip. The oversized garbage bag suit, the fish eye lens, the distorted mouths and eyes… “The Rain” proved that hip-hop videos could be more than just a bunch of dudes mean-mugging the camera.

We racked our brains trying to come up with a list of the greatest music videos of the 1980s. While some of our picks are painfully obvious, there are a few that we felt flew under the radar.

9. Public Enemy “Night Of The Living Baseheads”
More effective than any D.A.R.E. class you were forced to sit through, Public Enemy’s “Night Of The Living Baseheads” video managed to both make you laugh, while scaring you away from the evils of freebasing cocaine. “Night Of The Living Baseheads” was a rather unorthodox video, cleverly interrupting Chuck D’s performance scenes to a mock newscast (Flavor Flav as co-anchor? Genius!).

8. L.L. Cool J “I’m Bad”
LL Cool J’s girl gets kidnapped while posting anti-drug flyers on the street. LL assembles his posse who take out the bad guys (who all just so happen to be rich white guys… MESSAGE!). The video’s narrative, coupled with LL’s iconic performance scenes make this one of the best videos of the 1980s. “Gimme that walkie talkie!”

7. Prince “When Doves Cry”

Is there a more iconic moment in a music video than a camera passing through two stained glass doors into a room with flowers scattered about the floor and doves flying around while a man sits in a bathtub? Prince & The Revolution’s “When Doves Cry” music video is one of the few truly memorable videos that the Minneapolis genius ever released, not to mention a hell of a song.

6. Run DMC “King Of Rock”
Two black men wearing all black leather and white adidas walk into the Museum of Rock N Roll and are told immediately as they enter that they “don’t belong in here.” Run DMC’s “King Of Rock” video served as a powerful statement of hip-hop’s arrival and intent to takeover mainstream American culture. 22 years after this video’s release, the first rap group, Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five, were inducted to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, with Run DMC to be inducted 2 years later.

5. Janet Jackson “Pleasure Principle”
The public had already fallen in love with Janet Jackson by the time her “Pleasure Principle” video debuted. We all knew that Janet could had some moves, but it wasn’t until she flipped the light switch at the beginning of this video that we all learned that Michael’s little sister could give him a run for his money.

4. Janet Jackson “Rhythm Nation”
The black-and-white “Rhythm Nation” video was a dancer’s wet dream. The tightly choreographed military-inspired dance routines coupled with the song’s message helped establish Janet Jackson as an artist whose music video releases became events, just like her brother.

If anything planted the seed for Michael Jackson’s almost superhuman persona, it was this video. Only a man that was 100% magical could dance like Michael did, not to mention cause the sidewalks to light up with each step he took.

In the 80s, the music video experienced a period of rapid growth and innovation as musicians pushed the limits of what could be done in the span of a three and a half minutes, or in the case of Michael Jackson’s Thriller, fourteen minutes. There’s a reason why “Thriller” often takes the number one spot on lists of the greatest music videos of all time. To repeat these reasons would be overkill. All it takes is one viewing to know that this was a monumental moment in music and film history.

“He was scared to death because AEG was funding everything. He said he would have to work at McDonalds if he didn’t do these shows.”

Done in the style of a telethon, it aired September 21, 2001, uninterrupted and commercial-free, and featured a number of national and international entertainers performing to raise money for the victims and their families.

In October 2001, an album was released by a group of popular recording artists under the name “Artists Against AIDS Worldwide.” On it were multiple versions of Marvin Gaye’s 1971 hit “What’s Going On” intended to benefit AIDS programs in Africa.  However, the song was recorded shortly before the September, 11, 2001 attacks, and it was decided that a portion of the song’s proceeds would benefit the American Red Cross’ September 11 fund, as well.

Mocienne Petit Jackson filed documents back in July — claiming she’s the love child created by Michael and Diana Ross’ sister, Dr. Barbara Ross-Lee — asking for a court-ordered DNA test.

According to tmz.com, an L.A. County Superior Court judge just ruled that a DNA test is not in the cards.

Mocienne also wanted custody of MJ’s kids and a cut of the inheritance — but those claims also went down in flames.

The “Smooth Criminal” fedora, maybe. The glitter glove, possibly. The “Thriller” jacket, absolutely.

But owning something this personal of Michael Jackson’s simply hits too close to home (no pun intended).

The Holmby Hills, California, mansion where MJ suffered his fatal cardiac arrest is now on the market.

The French chateau-style mansion was built in 2002 and includes 12 fireplaces, a seven-car garage, a wine cellar and tasting room, 13 bathrooms, seven bedrooms, a screening room and a separate guest house, totaling 17,171 square feet.

What anyone would do with 12 fireplaces is beyond me, but regardless, all that heat doesn’t seem worth the morbid Hollywood history.

They will never, I repeat never let this man rest in peace. There will always be some Michael Jackson rumor or some person surfacing that claimed that he had sex with them or he slapped them and now they want to get paid.  The foolishness will never end for him even in death. According to TMZ, A woman who claims to be Michael Jackson’s illegitimate love child — conceived when MJ was a minor — has filed legal documents claiming there was a diabolical plot to cover up her existence … involving murder, abduction and Diana Ross’ sister.

The alleged MJ spawn — Mocienne Petit Jackson — has filed documents with L.A. County Superior Court claiming she will surely be in line for a serious inheritance check … if a judge will give the go-ahead on a DNA test. MPJ claims back in 1975, 17-year-old Michael Jackson secretly impregnated her mother Barbara … who happens to be Diana Ross’ sister.

MPJ claims when she was 9 years old, Katherine Jackson hatched a plan to “abduct” MPJ and send her to Belgium to protect Michael’s “reputation.” She claims all 7 of her abductors were later murdered. Now MPJ who currently lives in the Netherlands has decided to come forward with her story … so she can “formally claim my part of my father’s inheritance.” She also wants custody of MJ’s kids so she can give them a “more normal life.” MPJ also claims she was diagnosed with Vitiligo.

Michael Jackson was a cash cow when he was alive. He spent his life being used by his Father and sometimes other members of his family. In death he is still that same vessel for fame and opportunity. How many times is someone going to come forth claiming to be the love child of MJ and some other unknown woman? Do these people have any shame? What happens when the blood test is done and it turns out you were lying? The boldness of these people who not only want to tarnish a dead man’s name but also further confuse his children who I’m sure have seen and gone through enough madness for two lifetimes.

MJ could very well have had some secrets that the general public was not aware of. I do not think he was a Saint. However some of the stories that have developed since his passing are becoming more and more unrealistic. The idea that Katherine Jackson hired a hit man of sorts to prevent the truth from being revealed is ridiculous in itself. Honestly, I want us all to let the man rest in peace. Everyone from his family to strangers should stop trying to think of ways to make money from a famous dead man. I realize that this will probably never happen.
