From StyleList: Style savvy celebrities and women in-the-know have continually turned to Catherine Malandrino for her fresh and feminine take on fashion. Now, with the designer’s new collaboration with Mary J. Blige, you can shop her collection to make a difference.

Malandrino and Mary put their creative minds together to launch a charitable line of T-shirts for FFAWN (Mary’s Foundation For the Advancement of Women Now), which helps under-served women feel empowered to reach their full potential with scholarships, grants and other supporting programs.

The capsule collection of off-the-shoulder tees emblazoned with messages inspired by Blige’s songs, including “I’m Love” and “I’m Power,” starts at $39 and hits Bloomingdale’s next week on February 17.

Then, in June, the full line will be presented in a charity fashion show followed by the Mary J. Blige “Honors Women Concert 2010.”

A percentage of all sales from the collection, called FFAWN + Catherine Malandrino, will go to the charitable organization.

I recently told you that Mary sources were saying that that Kendu (who is the head of Mary’s MATRIARCH RECORDS) and Laneah have a “very strong” personal and professional relationship, and Mary suspects that there could be something MORE.  Well, MJB was spotted with her husband’s Kendu alleged  jumpoff  at the Grammys after party.

Is this why Mary slapped her husband?

Mary J Blige got a touch of the divas at the start of her set at the pre-Grammy party last night.

Apparently MJB publicly humiliated her band in front of an audience that included recording industry titans and some of the biggest names in rock. Mary lost her cool as, ironically, she was about to sing her hit song “No More Drama.”

According to zimbio.com, as the band struck up the number’s intro, she told the musicians to stop, waved her arms angrily and demanded: ‘Can we get the right music for Mary J Blige?’

She added: ‘Are we practicing still?’

The audience stared at her in disbelief as it is not considered the done thing to criticise your band – all top of the line professionals – at such an event.

The room felt cool towards her during her set.

Mary you want want to tone it down a bit!!!

Nine-time Grammy winner Mary J. Blige and world-renowned pop tenor Andrea Bocelli joined forces in a special fund-raising duet for Haiti relief at the 52nd Annual Grammy Award.  MJB’s Gucci silk crepe fuchsia gown with cutout detail along the bodice is a winner in our book!

Mary J Blige was recently honored at Essence “Black Women In Music.” Blige owned the red carpet in an orange curve-hugging one-shoulder dress and fierce black heels.

Blige will be performing a special version of “Bridge Over Troubled Water” at the Grammy awards on Sunday which will be available to download after the event with proceeds benefiting the Haiti relief effort.

Nine-time GRAMMY® winner Mary J. Blige and world-renowned pop tenor Andrea Bocelli will join forces and perform live together in a special fund-raising segment for Haiti relief on the 52nd Annual GRAMMY Awards.

This once-in-a-lifetime performance (audio and video) of the Simon & Garfunkel classic “Bridge Over Troubled Water” will be made available for download at iTunes/target.com following the telecast, and all proceeds will go to the American Red Cross, benefiting ongoing earthquake relief efforts in Haiti. This year marks the 40th anniversary of “Bridge Over Troubled Water” receiving GRAMMY Awards for Record Of The Year, Album Of The Year, and Song Of The Year, and the song will provide a moving tribute to the survivors of the tragic events in Haiti.

The music industry’s premier event will take place live on Sunday, Jan. 31, at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles on the CBS Television Network from 8 – 11:30 p.m. (ET/PT).

We all know that Mary J. Blige has struggled with addiction to both drugs and alcohol, but she has since announced she no longer indulges.

A NY Times article printed in 2007 printed this:

“She fell into addiction, and was just pulling herself out around the time she released her 2001 album “No More Drama.” ‘I was going through so much,’ she said. ‘I was dying. I had come off of being an alcoholic and a drug addict and everything else. And I just — it was either put up or shut up. It was two choices. It was: You want to live or you want to die?’

But now sources are reporting that she was more than tipsy at her recent birthday party at Club B.E.D. Watch the video below; what do you think?
