What’s going on in her life.

I’ve been sober for two years, and a lot of people can’t say that. I’m timid, shy and broken a little bit by some of the responses [online], but then again so much support from the people saying “No! She’s none of that.” Real friends stepping up … And just showing me who the real people were in my life. It helped me find myself and find out that there’s a real true artist inside of me–that no matter what obstacles may come, he’s not going to let you fall, and he’s not going to let you down.

I started ministering to myself and looking at my heart … Finding my voice … And it just made me stronger. If it doesn’t kill you, it will make you stronger. Like Drake says, “It’s far from over…” I listened to the music that people were making, and it kept inspiring me. I started making music, and I just stepped out on a limb. My mom died … So much has happened. I miss people in my life. I miss LL [Cool J]. Debbie Allen came back to the community … And for once so many miracles. I swear so many miracles!

On the state of her career and the youtube videos that surfaced:

I went on to do movies, and nobody talked about it, and that hurt me. I did a movie called ‘Rim Shop’ after Katrina had happened in New Orleans. We went down there, and that place looked a mess, seriously. We shot a film out there just to help those people, to bring revenue in and just show our support to their situation. Then, I did a gospel kind of Tyler Perry play called ‘Friends and Lovers’.

Former Addict Maia Campbell: Back & Looking Better!

Maia Campbell Out Of Rehab & Getting Reality Show?

A few months ago, a heartbreaking video of actress Maia Campbell surfaced on the net. It had been years since we had seen or heard anything from her – and it was for good reason. According to the clip, she had become a cracked-out druggie. We later found out that she had, at one time, been diagnosed with bi-polar/manic depression. She’d also fallen into a downward spiral once her mother passed in 2006. It became clear that the mental illness and substance abuse had taken its toll on her.

But since then, her family put out a statement that she would be entering rehab, and it seems to be working. She was recently spotted out and about looking much healthier.

According to photographer Seven, Maia was “looking good and very happy and upbeat.” There was no sign of her being high, and she was carrying a bag of Miss Jessie’s hair care products. She was also very willing to take photos.

It was later reported that she was in treatment, and we hoped for the best. Now, according to missjia.com, it seems there’s a great chance she’ll be heading her own reality show.

“Former child star turned vixen turned You Tube trainwreck, Maia Campbell has teamed up with Reality TV producer Jaysen “Av Action” Accius to start filming the pilot for a reality series that follows her journey as she attempts to pick up the pieces of a once beautiful life while dealing with her addictions and Bi Polar disorder. Maia and the producers of the show are hoping that this show will aid in giving a voice to the thousands of people diagnosed with Bi Polar Disorder every year and the families, friends and communities that struggle to support them.”

Remember how cute actress Maia Campbell from In The House used to be?  Well those looks are a thing of the past.  According to mediatakeout.com the actress is strung out on meth.

One of the gossip website’s faithful readers caught up the actress Maia Campbell and had this say:

Me and a friend of mine went to another friends house, [but] before we get to the porch he stops us and tells us that the girl on the porch was from [the show] In The House. As we approached the porch I looked dead into her glassy eyes and new it was her.

She said she was sleepin on venice beach, and needed someone to do her hair, my boy said she was walking up and asked him where the weed was, and than came back and asked for someone to do her hair.

As we’re seating there she’s trying hard to eat some tacos she ordered, shaking and shit like she had to go pee…she asked who had a car, I said I did, and she asked if me and my stud home girl (we both look like cute boys) did we wanna go shopping.

We both said yeah, but she asked me to take her to her “cousins” house first, somewhere on [ADDRESS REDACTED]. Anyway, she’s jumpin’ around and gettin happy in the back seat as we’re pullin up, no doubt getting’ her fix. She runs to the car tryna fix her shit, and I had to kick her ass out, like..”Bitch we only smoke kush in here!!!’
