Baby mommas have become and epidemic. Women seem to be settling for bearing a man’s children rather than bearing a ring on their finger.

Ne-Yo’s latest strip club stunt with his baby momma in tow lead me to question the level of respect men have for the mothers of their children and why they never seem to commit. Here’s three signs you may always be a baby’s momma and never a wife.

1. Stripped

Many men love the allure of naked women booty clapping for dollar bills with no strings attached. Strip clubs are an escape for most men–a fantasy if you will. Strip clubs should not be date night options. If your baby’s father respects you as the mother of his children, he’d never bring you to as strip club to watch him waste his hard-earned money, which could be going to towards the kids.

2. In Your Face

If the father of your children gallivants around town with his so called protege that he has no qualms with expressing his affections towards her, then chances are you’re pretty much set in baby momma concrete.

3. (More Than) One Woman Man

Lil’ Wayne’s redefined the term “baby momma.” He seems to be collecting them like baseball cards. When you look around and you’re among a group of women who share one baby’s father, you just might find yourself living out a stereotype.

If celebrities are getting more into the idea of being a part of the reality show inner circle, I’d officially like to make some star-studded show requests for our viewing pleasures.

Let’s be real, we watch everything this man does like hawks! He’s one of the most intriguing artists of our time. Getting to watch Kanye have Twitter rants, talk about his own genius and put together albums and clothing lines on a weekly basis is top notch entertainment!

Lil’ Wayne’s Baby’s Mommas

Most of the reality shows that call the cast members “wives” are forgetting one very important thing–most of them aren’t even married. So here’s a show idea–Real Baby Mommas of Weezy. You know you’d be glued to the screen, especially to see more of how they get along, how Wayne interacts with his kids and why the world these women are in a Lil’ Wayne cult.

Celebrity couples like Alicia and Swizz are obsession-worthy. Watching these two lovebirds live their extravagant lives, love one another and raise their son would be one of those rare positive reality shows and definitely something we could use as viewers.

Ciara’s career is constantly under criticism. Having her life spilled out on screen for us to see her rise to the top would be endearing and may even gain her the respect she deserves.

Solange

Some people have the ability to capture our attention in any and every little thing that they do. Solange is one of those people. From her jet-setting adventures to her eclectic style and her ever-blossoming career, Solange’s non-stop reality show would be a certified hit.

Are Drake And Kanye The Leaders Of Metrosexual Hip-Hop?

Created and cultivated by man, hip-hop’s foundation has been thoroughly drenched in machismo. Any deviance from that manly energy (that solidifies hip-hop’s hard-hitting beats and even harder-hitting lyrics) causes a stir – well, at least, it used to. Times and hip-hop have changed and the music’s macho image has been challenged by Lil’ Wayne’s super tight skinnies, Drake’s emotional lyrics and Kanye’s unpredictable women’s fashion choices.

When DJ Kool Herc came to New York City from his native Jamaica, he had no idea that he would be the creator of an entire genre of music, much less a culture. He just knew he liked to experiment with his records and lay down catchy lyrics that weren’t sung, but spoken–almost like poetry, but in rhythm. After inspiring all of the Bronx in the late 70′s with his movement, hip-hop was born and spread like wildfire. It started off as more of a positive expression of the frustration minority cultures faced when they simply left their front doors and looked around. There was violence, poverty and despair in the community and hip-hop was an escape from it all.

By the late 80′s and early 90′s, hip-hop had spread across the U.S. and artists like N.W.A., SchoollyD and Beastie Boys had changed its face and sound–glorifying violence, racism, sex, misogyny, gang activity, drugs, materialism among other negative subject matters. I mean, the N.W.A. carried firearms like they were some type of swat team. It was clear that violence saturated Gangsta rap, but that didn’t stop it from being a successful subgenre of hip-hop, thus changing the entire fun-filled escapism vibe to hard core. It seemed hip-hop now had something to prove–that there was power in their hyper-masculinity.

West coast gangsta rap influenced the East coast and bred Public Enemy, Rakim, Kool G Rap, EPMD, LL Cool J, Slick Rick and Big Daddy Kane, amongst others. By now, hip-hop was a full-on cultural phenomenon. Artists like LL Cool were criticized for showing their softer side–from his “ladies love” moniker to his sing-song flow about needing love. LL was confident enough in himself to further evolve the music into a more emotional genre, instead of an angry, gun-toting boombastic sound.

Fast forward to our generation and you’ll hear various interpretations, from rock to straight-up cuddly (::cough:: Drake). When Jay-Z released Kingdom Come in 2006 after his supposed retirement masterpiece, The Black Album purists protested, calling Jay’s album weak, emotional and not at all the street sagas we were used to hearing from the Brooklyn-born and bred superstar.

But by 2009, when Kanye West released his emotional manifesto, sans rap, 808′s and Heartbreak, it seemed we were all a little more receptive to rappers that tap into their feelings and pour it all over a track. The album was a success and proved that hip-hop doesn’t have to stay in one box. Which is probably why Kanye felt comfortable donning a skirt and taking the stage for Watch the Throne. ::’Ye shrug::

Drake is now singing his way through hip-hop’s manly rebellion. One thing we noticed about him upon his debut was that the man could write an emotional song. Drake wasn’t afraid to rap/sing all the things that men think, but wouldn’t dare let us know. Thanks Drake. But let’s get one thing straight: being open to sharing your emotions on a track does not challenge your own masculinity, but it does challenge the machismo of hip-hop as a culture.

Hip-hop’s number one challenger at this point is Lil’ B. If you have never heard of this freshman class rapper, you’re missing out on a man that calls himself “rap’s Lady Gaga” because he’s fearless. And he is. Lil’ B has no qualms about wearing dangling earring-and-necklace sets and you’ve got to admire his moxie. He’s proven his ability to not only step outside the box, but stand atop it and proclaim that just because he’s hip-hop doesn’t mean he has to rap about degrading women, drugs, guns, etc.

Lil’ B’s subject matter ranges from Ellen DeGeneres and Miley Cyrus to abusive relationships, being yourself and the advancement of our people. He’s more than the jewelry he wears or his controversial album titles (I’m Gay). Lil’ B is a solid fixture of hip-hop’s metamorphosis. He’s doing something only a few rappers have tried through the years – breaking our mental chains of believing that hip-hop has to be hard and masculine. You can still make palpable moves in by being yourself and I believe that that’s more effective than perpetuating negative stereotypes.

The image of what hip-hop has become is a beautiful thing. The culture of hip hop is open to more than just objectifying women, glorifying gangster lifestyles and the like. So this is my very own thank you to all that rappers fearless enough to defy their own machismo.

Lil Wayne has reportedly said goodbye to the single life and married his girlfriend in a secret ceremony. Sources are saying that Weezy decided to put a ring on Italian girlfriend Dhea after dating for less than a year, and they were wed in a “non-traditional ceremony” two weeks ago. The couple “don’t believe in the western marriage ideal” so are apparently making the rules up.

Dhea was spotted at Weezy’s daughter’s birthday party over the weekend, and photos show she has two rings on her left hand. Sources reveal that Dhea has chosen to follow Christian tradition by wearing a ring on her wedding finger but also follow Hebrew tradition by wearing a ring on her index finger.

So Weezy has babies with black women and wifes up a white girl? Just sayin’?????

The Young Money leader had to evict two male fans who were trying to get a glimpse of their favorite rapper while we was relaxing at his Miami crib. The two wannabe stalkers took a spin through Weezy’s upscale neighborhood after spotting a female guest enter the house. After waiting for a few minutes, the guys decided to pull up to his crib to what I’m guessing was to hopefully get a photo with Weezy. Why did they think this was even possible?

Maybe these two should’ve visited this neighborhoood!

One of the guys spots Wayne and yells, “Weezy … Can we get a quick picture bro?”

Weezy’s response: “Yo, do me a favor, get the f— out this neighborhood, or get your head knocked the f— off, do that. Get the f— out this neighborhood homie.”

The Guinness Book Of World Records 2012 has been released and inside, some of our favorite singers and celebs have been named the holders of some impressive records.

Beyonce snagged the record for most related Tweets per second when she made her baby announcement at the 2011 MTV VMAs. 8,868 tweets were sent out per second by fans.

Rihanna earned the honor of “Most US #1 Singles in a Year by a Female,” for the four chart-topping singles she released in 2010: “Rude Boy,” “Love the Way You Lie” (featuring Eminem), “What’s My Name?” (featuring Drake) and “Only Girl (in the World).”

Lil’ Wayne nabbed the title of having the “Most US Hot 100 Hits by a Rap Artist”: 64 between the years of 1999 and 2010.

Willow Smith made the list as the “Youngest Top 20 Transatlantic Star” at just 10 years old.

But it’s Adele who blew us away gaining three different records:

“Most Consecutive Weeks at #1 on the UK Albums Chart (Female)” – 11 weeks with album 21 as of April 16, 2011

Lloyd’s “Dedication To My Ex (Miss That)” video is all Motown-era, but with a modern twist. Fronting a funky garage band (with his bowtie and harmonizing back-up singers in tow), Lloyd croons and swoons while telling his ex (who’s dressed like Catwoman) how angry he is that she gave her love away to someone else.

Featuring an intro by Lil’ Wayne (played by comedian Wayne Brady) and the usual show-stealing verse from Andre 3000 (who is very appropriately played by a Puss-In-Boots lookalike cartoon cat), the song’s catchiness, unfortunately, isn’t at all swayed by it’s controversial lyrics.

(Besides, a little vulgarity can always go viral – just look at what Cee Lo did with “F*** You”!)

Lil’ Wayne’s “How To Love” video shows a softer side of the rapper as he tells the cyclical story of a troubled woman and her (equally affected) daughter. Wayne sings over guitar strumming as we watch the woman prepare to have an abortion.

However, she changes her mind last-minute and gives birth to a young girl who, as the years pass, will watch her mother be abused, visit her father in prison, become a victim of molestation, work as a stripper and prostitute, and later contract HIV/AIDS.

Actor Tristan Wilds also makes an appearance.

Lil Wayne may have violated his parole by sleeping with a 16 year-old girl. The blonde Canadian high school student is claiming that she spent the night with Weezy. The girl who’s in the 11th grade put Weezy and all the deets that went down that night on Twitter.

According to mediatakeout, Lil Wayne performed in Canada Tuesday night, and the girl whose name is Sarah and her friends attended the concert.Sarah attempted to get at Weezy after the concert, but failed. The next day, she took a bus to Montreal, where Weezy was performing and hooked up with him at an after party, and managed to get invited back to his hotel room. This is where things got hot and heavy and Sarah apparently has pictures to prove it.

I’m sure his probation officer is not too happy right now.

The first photo of Lil Wayne & Lauren London’s baby Cameron Carter has reportedly surfaced. StraightFromTheA.com is reporting that this is the first photo of the couple’s son. We have to say he’s a cutie..he looks just like his mommy!!

Lauren recently said her baby wasn’t the result of a one night and revealed that she was engaged to Weezy. She also said that :

“Wayne is a great dad. He’s a great father. I have no complaints!”

Weezy has four kids and is a committed dad.

Nivea Arrested For DUI After Leaving Toya’s Wedding

Nivea was reportedly arrested over the weekend for a DUI, after crashing her car into a tree. According to bossip.com, Nivea was still feeling tipsy after leaving the wedding reception of Antonia “Toya” Carter.The singer, ex-wife of The-Dream, and Lil Wayne’s baby’s mother, crashed her cream BMW X6 into a tree around 1 am last night near Marietta St. and Bolton Rd.

Nivea was arrested by a police officer she began shouting abuse at, saying: “B**** I could buy your job ho!”

Lil Wayne’s baby mamas Nivea as well as Lauren London were among the guests at Toya’s wedding party.

The stars came out for Hot 97′s 2011 Summer Jam fest in East Rutherford, New Jersey at the New Meadowlands Stadium. Rappers like Lil Wayne, Drake, Wiz Khalifa, Chris Brown, Lloyd Banks, Fabolous, Cam’ron, Olivia and many more performed.

Olivia rocked black, ripped jeans and a leather jacket as she performed “December.”

Drake and Lil Wayne performed “Miss Me.” DJ Khaled and Rick Ross joined them to perform “I’m On One.”

Lil’ Wayne and Lauren London were engaged at one time. This is just one thing Lauren reveals in a recent interview with Kathleen Cross where she dispels rumors surrounding her relationship with Lil’ Wayne.

What is the biggest misperception people have of you? What misperception bothers you most?
That my son is the result of some kind of one night stand or groupie encounter with his father. I struggle with deciding when to answer or ignore the constant speculation about my private life, because I feel like that doesn’t belong to anybody but me.

Do you want to go on to the next question, or clear up the speculation now?
I met Dwayne when I was 15 years old. I’ve known him a very long time, and we were in a relationship that didn’t make it. We tried more than once to revive it, and we were engaged briefly years ago, but we eventually parted ways. People see the “Lil’ Wayne” persona and think they know who he really is. My son’s father is an intelligent, loving and lovable person who will always be a dear friend. That is all.

If you don’t mind another personal question, there is a lot of talk about how well the mothers of his children get along. What’s the real deal?
We are all good-hearted women who love our children and we want them to know each other. Real friendships have grown from that foundation and the result has been more love, less drama and less trauma for our kids.

Though Dirty Money sang the original, and Diddy is featured on Mary’s remix, the mogul was nowhere to be found on stage. Rocking a high ponytail (a favorite among Ciara, Beyonce and Keyshia Cole), gold earrings and a belted white trench coat, Mary “searched” on the first single from her “My Life II” album.

Jennifer Lopez has released the video for “I’m Into You” featuring Lil’ Wayne. In the steamy video, Jen frolics on Mexico’s Xcacel beach and the Chichen Itza ruins (with her dripping wet costar), before giving an ultimate dance breakdown.

Lil’ Wayne’s probation prohibited him from traveling South of the border to shoot the video with her. However, product placement of the relaxation drink Koma (which you’ll see Jen holding in the beginning of the clip) provided producers with enough cash to shoot new footage of Lopez and Wayne together in L.A.

Despite them being spotted on that Los Angeles set together, they still don’t ever appear side-by-side in the final cut of the video. What happened?

Chris Brown recently celebrated his birthday this week and decided to bring in his 22nd year of life with a bang. After returning to his blonde hair color (which I really do love on him, by the way), he decided to take his talents to South Beach, and celebrate at Club Play in Miami. Many of his celeb friends were in attendance such as Lil Wayne, Trina, Roscoe Dash, Big Tigger and many more. The birthday cake was an imitation of his F.A.M.E album.

Chris took to Twitter to express his appreciation for his the love he received at his party, stating “I just wanna thank everyone for making this day so special! Rough roads, crazy moments, and life lessons. My love for my fans is so eternal.”

Chris’ birthday weekend is far from over, as he heads to Pure in Vegas tonight for another birthday round.

Jennifer Lopez & Lil Wayne filmed their “I’m Into You” music video scenes together in Los Angeles last night. The two stand back-to-back: J.Lo showing off her (still intact) curves and Lil’ Wayne showing off his tats.

Jennifer filmed her solo scenes earlier this month in Chichen Itza, Mexico.

The video for “I’m Into You,” the second single from LOVE?, will premiere May 2 on NBC’s “Today” show while the album drops the next day.

Twenty year old Notre Dame baller Skylar Diggins gained recognition when she lead her women’s basketball team to the Final Four earlier this month. She became eye candy persay, when celebs such as Chris Brown and even Lil Wayne started tweeting her, wishing her well wishes on her game and confessing their “crushes” on her. Lil Wayne even took it a step further and called her his “wifey” in one of his tweets. Cute right?

Skylar’s high rise to fame was quickly shot down as one of her “fans” released a nude picture of a woman that resembled Skylar, and claimed it to be her. Skylar went to her Twitter to clear up the rumors, stating: “Gotta clear this up. I don’t know what pic is going around, but that is NOT ME. I don’t know who is going around trying to defame my character, but it’s sad. The people that know me and love me know that I would never handle myself in such a careless and classless manner. I can truly say I am hurt by this. I don’t believe how someone could attempt to ruin my name by being untrue. I am stronger than this though.”
